Another youtuber would've used this old house for clickbait and try to pass it off as haunted, but Post 10 is genuine and just wanted to explore! This is the content I love, and why I adore this channel!!

Lot of ppl don't know that houses, object can't be haunted, only persons who are open to evil spirits. Every youtuber who has "haunted" videos is scammer.

Those things you thought were some kind of pipe cleaners were actually Coffee pot cleaners. Remember the glass round coffee pots that had a rim you couldn't put your hand thru unless you had tiny hands? You snake those brushes in and put the bristles against the glass and just turn clockwise and counter clockwise to clean.

The tanks are for water expansion from the boiler. You have to keep them half full of air so when the water gets hot it can expand when hot. If they get water logged they can cause problems with the boiler. Like over pressuring.

21:19 those are expansion tanks for the heating system. It's a hot water heating system and when the water heats up and expands it needs some place to go. We had one with our old heating system. Just a plain empty metal water holder. Now a days they are smaller with a rubber bladder inside.

I had two large stores. Many valuable things inside. Large buildings. An economic downturn and my businesses were in the red. Property taxes mounted as I tried to pay the county but the county added too many charges fines and fees for the delinquent property tax payments. The county seized all of the things inside both buildings along with my buildings ending my family busines. The buildings sat for many years as all of my inventory rotted and my former buildings rotted and had to be torn down. This is one of the main reasons that I fight against the criminal property tax. That basement area was for sure the maintenance shop and large item storage. I've worked at a few hotels and recognized what that looks like immediately - the location of the shelving and tables so near to the boilers and storage would make sense to be maintenance as they'd have quick and ready access to the tools and supplies they'd need to maintain the place.
I believe you were correct about the broken furniture - the owners and maintenance people most likely were using parts from severely damaged items to repair less damaged items and get them back to working order. Replacing furniture is expensive, and if the hotel was a smaller business not backed by a major national chain, it would have been very cost prohibitive to replace the furniture if it could simply be repaired.
All that said, though, that "Be back in 5 minutes" was hilarious to me - I have a similar sign I have to put up if I leave the desk for any reason.
