I liked the matches between these two, however both of them went down in my estimations when they did the dirty on Serena, Henin at the French with the serve fiasco and Capriati at the Open with those terrible line calls some she obviously knew were in, great players but bad sportswomen
I don't think the two incidents are comparable. Capriati was not making line calls, it was the judge's fault and one of those awful calls went against Jennifer and Serena did not correct it because it is not the player's job to make calls. But yes, on a personal level, I think Jennifer should've said something about the one call that was so obviously in. I think she would've been seen as a hero even if if she lost. Justine's hand incident against Serena was straight up cheating.
Why would a player (Jennifer) argue in favor of the opponent to get the points overturned and awarded to opposition when there were hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line and every single point is crucial? Think realistically.

Exactly. Loved Henin's playing style and Jennifer was a talented player, but both were nasty personalities, each in their own way.
It’s not Jennifer’s job to make the call but yeah that one ball that was 6” in she should have ceded the point.

Agreed, and there were many line calls that went against lots of other players in that era! Maybe not by quite so much as that 2004 Serena match...
