Any input on the new Eufy X10 Pro Omni? They are advertising it for pre-order at $200 off, making it only $599 with 8000Pa suction. I have 4 pets that leave hair everywhere and all my floors are laminate wood, with a single low pile area rug in the living room. The price and spec look incredible, and it seems the integration into Home Assistant isn't terrible either. Would it be better to invest in one of the current flagships that are sure to drop in price next year? $600 is pretty much my budget on a mop and vac unit though.

@@FrietjeMI know I can see other reviews as well. I just really trust Robs judgement due to how very thorough he is when he compares products. I was hoping maybe he had a take on it whether to avoid or not. It looks like the eufy vac integration isn't as fleshed out in Home assistant as the others anyway so I'll just wait a little longer.

Nice summary Rob. Looking forward to a comparison review of these vacuum. Hopefully also the new Switchbot S10. With the new Matter standard update to include vacuum support, hopefuuly we will start to see Metter enabled vacuum and lead to out of the box LOCAL full support.

I need more information of that Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot AI combo....seems like they are integrating the steam mopping capability/functionality as well?
I got an OKP L1 while on sale this past year because it seemed like a good budget lidar vacuum. It's been so nice to have it run daily while I'm at work. I have found it stuck a handful of times, Under the couch or just lost.
I just hope it'll last me a few years till I can get something decent with mopping.

I look forward to the reviews. I have a weird hardwood only house so the softbrush only seems amazing. Without auto-empty though I won't be getting it. I wish other brands let you switch the brush type.

Yes, that feature was introduced on the S20 Ultra.

Stair traversal is going be be the holy grail. Even if it's just 1-2 stairs it will enable people with split level homes to use robotic vacuums.
Looks like on-board dirty water tanks are the new wave. Personally looking forward to the Eufy S1 Pro.

No kidding, but the good thing is that as new flagship vacuums come out last year's models get much more affordable.

How about a video going over Valetudo and the vacuums it'll run on?
Valetudo is unfortunately extremely niche right now. I love that the Dreametech L10S can use it, but it's not an OTA, or even a little bit of teardown. You need to order a PCB and solder your own breakout board to get it loaded. It's a fun project, but from a "I just want to use my vacuum with home assistant" standpoint it doesn't make sense because the mi home integration is extremely good, and the DreameHome HACS integration is getting better and better by the day.
@@TheHookUp I think one of the main reasons for using Valetudo is privacy. So in that sense there are no other options if you want a good vacuum. I agree that it is niche but a good review would be awesome. It's pretty expensive though, especially if you want to compare it on different models...
I think if privacy were a main concern I'd rather just get an iRobot (like a J7+). When you hook them up via MQTT they communicate directly with HA and can be blocked from the internet 100%.

not at CES, only the DV10 was at CES.
But do any of them support matter? V2 got released around Q4 of last year.
That wasn't a marketing point of any of the robotic vacuum booths that I visited, but I'll be sure to test compatibility when I do my comparison video in March.

I really hope that there some more units where is dirty water tank in robot. I life have robot but it is not auto emptying. At public hard froor areas it would be good to have unit what can scrub floor automatically at each night.
Switchbot has a promising looking unit coming out in 2024, but they were not at CES.

It looks like flagship vacuums from 2 years ago. In my experience Eufy Vacuums are always a few years behind the curve.

X30 Ultra doesn’t come with the tri cut brush, it is sold separately. 0:11
From what they were saying at the booth it seemed like both a normal brush and the anti tangle brush would be included.
@@TheHookUp that would be amazing but on their website it says sold separately but please let me know if that’s a mistake maybe? I also found it weird in other countries their products have 3 year warranty but only 1 in the USA 🥲

Eufy didn't have any RoboVacs at CES. Actually Eufy/Anker didn't have a booth at the show, they were only at the private night media events, but they didn't have any vacuums there.

this industry is relentless. autonomy and power in a small device is not trivial. I've been pondering about self empty stations being redundant for months, that dual robot and cordless vacuum auto empty is a good idea but implementation could be better. The soft roller brush on a robot could be better as a wet mop cleaner. The roller brushes on robots are good as on carpet and hard floors.
What is 3i ?
Just a new company, 3i is Imagination, Innovation, Intelligence.
There still isn’t a robot that can function properly on a black rug with a pattern. They need a robot that scans the floor in full color and allows users to set the floor types so it can handle all carpets.
please do check EUFY X10 PRO OMNI it is just $799 and is kind of just half the price of every other robo vac mop but with all the features
Dreametech L10s ultra is on sale for $$650-750 all the time and blows the Eufy out of the water when it comes to features.
will you still recommend l10s ultra if the EUFY is offering 8000pa suction power but l10s ultra is only 5300 pa and mop lifting is up to 12 mm, it can't add cleaning solution that feature is not available on eufy actually i wanted to buy dreametech X30 ULTRA but it expensive, please suggest. should i still choose l10s ultra if eufy is giving all same and more features under early bird price of 599 $@@TheHookUp
the new EUFY X 10 PRO OMNI was shown at CES and it is launching with early bird price of 599 in February I used to love narwal and dreametech L20 ultra, since X30 ULTRA is launching with mop swing feature, but the price is too high still with early bird discount it is 1300 excluding taxes. @@TheHookUp
I pre-order the eufy but I am still not sure what I should do. Wait for roborock to release.. I'm just so impatient as I am cleaning my floors too much
@@Drivelikeitzstoln i did the same thing got 200$ off & i did check the other users reviews it looks good, a low maintenance of cleaning is always needed after a month of usage with every kind of robot vac mop. Me personally i wanted to go with Dreame x30 ultra but it is way too much expensive but i love its feature of leaving the mops behind in the station when vacuuming carpets.
Soooo... Here's the question... We've got microcement floors throughout the house which are easy to clean... BUT ... We've got 3 cats (Norwegian forest cats which are long haired) ... AND ... We've got horses, a lot of them, and even though the horses don't get into the house, their hairs still stick to the clothing even though work clothes are hung in a area not inside the house, but hair do still follow inside 🙈

It would be great if all of them started building thier docks wider to be a washer dryer base. I gutted and redesigned my home so that all bedrm closets now fit an all in one washer dryer heat pump. Now every bedroom has its own built in laundry in the closet. I used pex to run the cold water line and then used basement toilet dumps that are basically sump pumps that fit between studs and act like a drain by pumping the water away this way I didn’t have to dig under the slab.

Also Do not recommend Dreame at all. They have the worst customer service and do not have proper support for north america. While they did have some nice tech better to just go roborock
I can't comment on the customer service since I've never had to use it, but as someone who has tested dozens of vacuums I can say that both of the vacuums I use in my house are Dreametech (L10s downstairs, D10 Plus upstairs), and they are basically flawless. Add that to the fact that they cost 40% less than Roborock and it's an easy pick for me.

X2 is trash on thic carpets i got it and now
am.stuck with it its past the return date the
shark matrix is way better ecovac software
is bad the x2 never seems to find its station
evem tho its 5 inchs infront of it and on my
carpets in the garage it doesnt even move
it keeeps saying the antidrop sensors are
dirty please clean them evem tho their clean
contacted ecovac numereous times they
couldnt resolve any of my isssues but the
matrix one didnt hwve any kf these and is
also a third of the price
But other than Samsung, they all use the same buggy app and built with the same chipset... They tend to fall off the stairs.
iRobot hasn't innovated in ages, they don't come to CES because they want to sell you the same tech from 10 years ago. As far as the apps, that couldn't be further from the truth, I'd rank the apps like this:
1. DreameHome (Dreame)
2. Roborock
3. iRobot
4. Ecovacs
5. Narwal
6. Samsung
Though the goal is not not need to use the app very often, set it up and forget about it.
@@TheHookUp I wish Dreame had the option to save multiple different schedules in the app. ie. for cold / dry weather and for wet/muddy weather. I don't need it to mop every day when its snowy outside but if its near 0 then the pets bring in mud and dirt. But otherwise i agree, dreamehome app is pretty decent.
I have tons of schedules in my DreameHome app, do you mean the ability to automatically turn schedules on/off using triggers?
