He is actually the ideal politician, and I don't mean that as a compliment or an insult. He makes arguments and promotes policies, and rattles off all kinds of information. But he sticks to the 'story' of the argument no matter what. So if his reasoning is, in truth, flawed or incomplete, he 100% knows about that, he's just being selective to advocate for what he believes in.

EV’s future is not looking good due to Japanese & German car manufacturers working on hydrogen engines now! These are basically the same style combustion engines we have now just that they run if hydrogen! More Americans want that pulling power! They want an engine, not an electric motor that runs on a battery that can be more harmful to the environment than gasoline powered vehicles! We want something that’s also not going to cost more than the vehicle itself to replace! Pete doesn’t want to talk about the negatives that come with EV’s!
Back in January, we got a good amount of snow & you never saw a Tesla out nor any other EV’s! They don’t work too well in cold/snow! Pete doesn’t want to cover that either!

If every petrol powered car ( Not SUV or pick up ) in the USA alone was to be replaced with an EV equivalent then that would consume 2 times the worlds know copper reserves and all of the cobalt .

The toyota solid state battery will reduce the price a lot and the air - aluminium cell is very promising while Musks Manganeeses battery has been 2 years from production for the past 10 years ( rather like atomic fusion electricity )
Then there is the little problem of copper, or rather lack of copper because if every car ( not SUV or Pick up ) registered in the USA today was replaced by an EV we would need 3 times then current known reserves of copper , and that is just the start of it .
I've heard from more than a few people that they're no longer willing to buy a Tesla, because of Musk specifically. They dislike his attitude, the things he says / does, his bad takes / stances he's recently had, his handling of Twitter before and after purchase, and more, so they are all unwilling to support his company or brand, now.

My friends are jealous because I still have a landline, and it works when their cell phones don't. Plus no need to charge it. During bad times, like hurricanes, my phone is the only working connection to the outside world! 😅. And I can have one in every room; no need to tote it around. Id much rather bring analog back. It was more reliable than digital and the phones didnt need electricity. Analog TV was more reliable as well. There is a flaw in your premise. The GOP doesn't want to be useful.
We. Need. Standardized battery packs for automobiles, with exchangable battery packs available in service stations, that use quick change bayonet battery docking ports where those batteries can be changed in a minute, instead of hanging around in charging stations. Then just measure the charging status of the used battery, and charge the lost power to the customer's credit card. DONE. No charging station needed. You can make home charging an extra option, but having millions of cars lined up for charging stations isn't the answer.
@@d.e.b.b5788 it would be nice on paper, and it exists for small bikes, but it has to face a serious problem: for the same autonomy, batteries take at leasr 10x the volume of gasoline. The least inconvenient solution is to make the car floor 5 to 10 cm thicker and spread dozens of battery packs in it, protected by metal plates.
So, in current situation, what would be the incentive to buy a builkier, less habitable car that can only be serviced by a tiny minority of charging stations, and for the station managers to invest in a tech almost no customer would want?
