I noticed the bricks were very clean, even repainted... I was there in July 2022 and every stone had been written on. An adult was standing on the brick pillar closest to the iron gate...I told him to get off of it. I just had a feeling he was going to jump that black fence to get into the grave. Luckily someone from Seaside was driving through and he got down and got in their car and left. People can be so disrespectful!

I think probably the reason why they cut down the tree is because of it might affect her grave like the roots of the tree might destroy her grave if suddenly there's calamities happened
There was a huge tree right behind Selena’s grave that actually gave it some good shadow to it, now it’s not there, how sad why did that tree get removed? I remember when Selena was recently buried there, that tree I’m talking about was just a small plant and it grew over the years right with her grave.
I would say because the family wants to protect her grave from anyone who might want to desecrate her grave by stealing whatever they can steal. I went to her grave in November of 2001 and there was no fence
I know after so many years of love and tears and happiness and ultimately sadness around her gravesite it seems a bit worn down.... absolutely no disrespect but like with time wear and tear, but Selena will always be beautiful in our minds and souls!!!
