Paul never understood or appreciated George when he was alive, and this assembly of 'super-stars,' with the abysmal insult of including George's son Hari as a token, is absolutely antithetical to George's entire philosophy. George was just interested in being human, while Paul was always at heart a canny businessman who was mainly interested in the success of the enterprise. George created the benefit concert, while the rest of the rock and roll stars were just fiddling around with their accountants, figuring out how to maximize the returns on their investment portfolios. Paul's "token" to his buddy is just a cynical enterprise, completely devoid of the soul of the original.

Even in concert for Bangladesh, when other two great beatles refused the George's call, Ringo came to America and performed with him and made a milestone in the history of Rock Music. A true friend of George and Bangladesh. A man with big heart! 🍃 Love from Bangladesh.

    Seems my love is up
And has left you with no warning
    But it's not always going
    To be this grey
    All things must pass
    All things must pass away
    Sunset doesn't last all evening
A mind can blow those clouds away
After all this my love is up
    And must be leaving
    But it's not always going
    To be this grey
    All things must pass
    All things must pass away
    All things must pass
None of life's strings can last
So I must be on my way
    And face another day
Now the darkness only stays at night time
In the morning it will fade away
    Daylight is good
At arriving at the right time
    But it's not always going
    To be this grey
    All things must pass
    All things must pass away
    All things must pass
    All things must pass away

When I see and hear Paul McCartney sing this song, I hear Paul McCartney singing this song. Not only for the loss of his bandmate and good friend, George Harrison, but the losses that he has had to deal with in his life, starting with his beloved wife Linda who he clearly adored, the loss of John Lennon so tragically, and now George. In recent photos of Paul McCartney he looks extremely happy with his wife, but no one could ever replace Linda his first love. And I don't get the feeling that his present wife would have a problem with that. He truly looks happier than I have seen him in a very long time. Sometimes we take the scenic route, but if Providence is with us, we are granted happiness once again.

His best friends were no longer there with him and they had rehearsed this song together and I wish they had put the song in the album. It wasn't long since he had lost his wife too. It is something to admire in this man that music is his talent and strength and sustains him when life throws him a lot of pain. I'm glad that he still has Ringo. I love Paul and I always will. By the late 80's he had retired from the music business altogether, as he wanted to spend more time with his second wife and newly born children (born in 1989 and 1991).
