      Invalid BTC address, double check your BTC address. Then go back into options "Profit Switching" and make sure to put it in the pool your mining on. What pool did you turn on, as each pool might have a different requirement, for example, while most ask for BTC address, Mining pool Hub wants user name and password in this format. User2021.Miner1

    Hi there, i'm trying to follow exactly what you're doing, but when i get to the benchmark and run them all, almost 90% of them will show me errors while running along the lines of "Failed to establish connection to mining pool" "host not found" "failed to log into mining pool, please check mining pool username" etc... but we didn't set up a mining pool before that and i have my exodus wallet private btc key in there, any advice?

    • @SerpentXTech
      @SerpentXTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Key..... Private key.... You should be using your Bitcoin address, not your private key. A private key is used to verify proof you own that wallet, don't share it with anyone. If you followed the steps, they you should have checked some pools under profit switching, when I said to choose "Managed Profit Switching Miner". Then enter in your BTC address, and click next then finish. Then go back to benchmark, and try again.

    Can watch the video yet, however I have used Awesome miner most recently. My 1 question is (and I hope its not answered in the video as this will look stupid) what are you strategy's for auto exchange? Is it still most profitable to auto exchange to LTC because of the low withdrawal cost? Or is it better to save up ETH, then exchange before transferring out to FIAT?

    • @SerpentXTech
      @SerpentXTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LTC is good on pools that support it, and because of the low exchange or transaction fees. But I would say go with ETH, stack it up, then transfer to Fiat. I use LTC payout when mining on Zergpool or Zpool, but those pools don't support the most profitable cryptos, like ETH. Or if they do, by the time they find a block so you can get paid out... it will be a while... You want to mine on the most profitable algos, unless you believe in a project that will one day take off.

    • @SerpentXTech
      @SerpentXTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to mine other coins that your card supports. Have you ran the benchmark? To see what it can do? You want to create a profile for that GPU, go to benchmark, make sure that profile is selected and the pools you would like to mine to under "profit switching" are selected. Run let it test and see which ones would let you mine. Once you have identified those, you go to the Algorithm tab and uncheck all the ones you can mine. This is all under the Options tab. Good luck

      Yes, but the only thing close that I have is Nvidia broadcast. Don't exactly have a way to put a green screen behind me. The TV you see behind, is what my wife and I watch. My main system is in our master bedroom. It would be nice to hang something of the ceiling and only pull it down when I need tool. Just would need to ensure I hit a stud, in the ceiling. It is vaulted ceiling so high up

      What GPU you have? Did you install drivers? Check in "Device Manager" to make sure it is showing. If it is, the go to options in Awesome Miner, then "Managed Miners", then look towards to bottom. You might have to select the GPU for it to detect in Awesome miner.

    Just a quick question and yes I'm new. I have a 1080ti and just doing some experimenting atm. I also have an old gtx 760, when I conned the second GPU why does awesome miner pick up the GPU but it fails to mine with both GPUs? Do I need to have the second GPU mining with a different miner? Not sure how multiple GPUs work when mining or how to set that up. Thanks and love the videos super helpful in setting up AM

    • @SerpentXTech
      @SerpentXTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, setup a second miner and profile for the 760. As it can't mine the same coins as the 1080 ti. Thats why it is failing.

    3:43 what do these pools mean, should i just pick the top one does it matter?

    • @TheMuddman74
      @TheMuddman74 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not a pro and hopefully someone that is will chime in but basically a "pool" is a group of people "pooling" their resources/mining power to work together and share the rewards equally based on how much "work" or mining power each person did. It does matter what pool. There are lots of reasons to choose specific pools. I cant remember all but size of pool (how many miners), fees (how much the pool management takes), payout rate (daily, weekly, etc), geographical location, etc... again I'm no pro but I'm about a year into researching and I'm competent but this is general info that should give you some points of interest to look into deeper. Cheers and best of luck

    • @SerpentXTech
      @SerpentXTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @themuddman74 gave a damn good response. You don't just want to pick the top pool in the chart, but it is a group of miners working together to solve for each block and your shares submitted will be added up. Once a block is found you will get a piece that correlates to the amount of work you did (shares successfully submitted).

    tried to follow along, but im still learning about crypto in general and I had some hiccups along the way.
    First, when I tried to run the benchmarks, I kept getting an error about my bit and eth wallet addresses and the other benchs would indicate I had no username/pw for that particular bench/pool? Finally found how to make a btc wallet that didnt start with btc1 and was back moving along. Next errors i was getting was that cuda wouldnt run, it said I only had 3.2gigs and needed 4 so it wouldnt bench. Finally got around that and was able to bench. Not all benchs ran (and only 34 were selected), and I only seem to have a valid btc address so I am just ignoring eth for now until I figure that out (or signup to the sites/pools i guess?).
    Am now up and running, but I dont even know if I am making progress/mining anything at all.

    • @SerpentXTech
      @SerpentXTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What I would, recommend is waiting. I know that sound counter productive, but the GPU market is too hot right now. When the second hand market gets flooded you will be able to pick up decent GPU's for much cheaper, the only problem is when. However, save up over time and if you can snipe a good deal through local sellers, Newegg drops, or via stock alerts, go for it. Just keep accumulating over time. Get a cheap 2 or 3 tier shelf, find an old motherboard LGA 775 that can handle 6 cards, then just grab GPU's that you can find at a good price. It may not be till early 2023 that prices start to drop, but hang tight.
