That's what I thought also. Since it's bigger than the basket so you have to mount it on the outside and, it's not able to reach it's full potential as a 12
They come in 15,18, and 21" the 12 is only built upon special request. If you got to have it we build it 😆
@@chichidouglas5078 mounting it backwards doesnt hurt performance and in many cases i mount backwards to drop down that 1hz of tune cause i enjoy lows alot more but with subs like that mounting backwards will make it insanely top heavy forcing you to mount the box really well or figuring something out about that
@mark jones I know that it doesn't hurt the performance, but it limits your installation and enclosure options because you can make internal bracing to support the motor so it can face whatever direction you want. Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome, but, in my opinion, that motor can't reach its full potential as a 12", so why waste it on one.
While it nay be "cool" to look at, it was horrible in design. It has limited travel due to the uneeded amount of spiders stacked, and not enough surface area of the spiders, to allow proper axial movement of the coil in the gap, and It failed. Way too stiff of a suspension, and a large coil, with limited spider travel surface area and, with the motor force it has...no. Thats why it ripped the spiders from the landing. It needed larger spiders/softer suspension. Makes for a conversation piece though.
We had a guy at work that broke every machine on a gang when he subbed. he always claimed he just likes to max out everything! This sub took a boatload of power,keep up the punishing reviews!
It also helps to mention that woofer was a collaborative design with EM Audio and Hutchinson Audio so it definitely is going to be top quality

The biggest 12 inch is actually made by Orion. It's the 12" HCCA SPLX. IT WEIGHS 166.5 lbs. It also does a 30,000 watt peak or at least burp
Orion kicks ass! They've been in competitions for 30 or 40 years I believe. If Parker gets insane you tube money in the future he should do some reviews of what the big boys of extreme spl use for subs...incriminator, B2,crossfire, Sundown half ohm team subs, Rockford Fosgate s 19 inch woofer. Or he could inch up on the elite top of the line subs. I think 12 inch is a good all around size for a sub. Most get pretty low and still punchy enough for rock. Awesome magnet on that crazy beast. Two words Earthquake Holee. 151 db with one 15, just saying. That would be a very interesting review.

You heard of Atomic subs? They claim to do 30 and 40 k burps? Haven't heard too much about them though...review wise.
You can tell early on that the spider came loose. Thats what that noise was when it was clapping and you turned it down. However when you put 11k into it that section of the spider became a weak spot and allowed the coil to arc on the motor.
I’ve never seen a sub that makes the Sundown ZV6 look small holy cow that’s a big sub.

Parker when you invert a sub you are supposed to flip the gasket over unless it has some goofie basket but most allow it, then it seals better and don't get that distorted gasket where the holes are too small for the screws.

As a speaker moves the impedance changes. As impedance rises a amp makes less power.
It's impedance rise, as the music plays and different frequencies play the Ohms will change. The closer you are to tuning, the closer you will be to where you are wired. IE, Box tuned at 32hz amp is 3k rms at 1ohm u will get the closest to that 3k rms, if you are wired at 1ohm, but only at or around 32hz. The further you move from tuning the more rise you get, so playing a 50hz note in a 32hz tuned box you might be rising all the way to like 8ohms or more

I'm impressed it's kinda like stuffing a twin turbo V8 in a fwd civic just because u have a powerplant capable of 1k hp doesn't always mean u can effectively get it thru the wheels to the ground and produce more speed you might just blow tires off constantly and be unable to control it making it cool but useless. This is not the case here I must say I'm impressed

I thought there would be a larger volume than this and has a 21" outdoor speaker with an 8" voice coil 3000w rms 8Ω, and uses a neodymium magnet size is same as in the video and gives a louder sound at 60-110Hz

I've been working with car audio since 1987 and that by far is one of the most impressive subs I've seen. Breaking in a sub is a waste of time unless you're doing SQ or SPL competition. I've got some old school MTX 10's with the square magnet at least 30 years old Rockford fosgate 12's 22+ years old the foam surround is still in good shape on them. Breaking in subs is bullshit. They get a little looser the qms changes they still handle the same amount of Watts. I saw 1.2 ohm at 11k I believe the amp went into protect from low voltage. That much wattage will pull 1200 amps and the sample rate on most meters is too slow to see the drop in voltage but the protection circuitry will trip. I've never had an amp full tilt and short the output without smoking the transistors or mosfets.

no doubt a great subwoofer but due to its triple motor size it should have a rubber around it so as not to damage the English translation magnetic assembly
Erm they say 7.5 KW of continuous power. And it's bobin starts bottoms out on around 5300 Watts.... By the way how much SPL can it produce is it 90-92 dB?

Parker that thing is SICK!!. Currently I am trying to upgrade my two 10 inch Massive hippo XLs and I think the EM Audio 5000 watt 10s are the way to go. I don't want to break the bank and go NEO but running my two 10s and one American Bass 12 inch Comp Signature I have a total of 1.3 ohms being pushed by a Tramps MD 8000.1 So i put together a list of 12 inch subs that I think might work out. Let me know what you think.?

We also have the new ones.. 21inches to 24inches 20,000-25,000 watts. triple spider, 4 layer of magnets with 8inches voice coil.
