Okay. So about a year and a half ago I saw an interveiw with Chloë Grace Moretz and she was talking about "The Miseducation of Cameron Post" which led me down this really dark rabbit hole about gay conversion camps. Then I found something that was talking about Boy Erased and how it was a memoir set to be a movie. And even then the story got to me. Then I saw the trailer when it came out and obviously it was incredible. Then I find out now, that the guy who wrote the memoir was from a small town in Arkansas. Being a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself and living in a small town in arkansas, I now resonate with this 10 times more.

And the thing is that before Russel Crowe became an A list star, he made a film in Austrialia called "The Sum of Us" in which he plays the grown gay son of a widower father who has the knack for medling too much in his son's love life. The subject matter is a very serious one and the current vice president backs the kind of abuse that these unlicensed counselors push.

Is it weird of me to be in love with a woman (I'm a woman) but not to feel like part of the LGBTQ+ community? Don't get me wrong, I'm not affraid to be part or that I reject to be part of it… I just… don't feel like I'm a part of it. I don't like labels in anyway, I'm not straigth even if I had a six years relationship with a men, but I don't think I'm lesbian or bi just bc I love a woman (I have loved two womans in my 20+ life… also just two men :v) … What am I suppost to be? I just feel I'm me... just me. Is there a name for that?

No it’s not weird at all. Don’t listen to anyone telling you otherwise. Some people don’t like to use labels they just are who they are and like who they like and that’s totally totally chill. I’m a lesbian but I have plenty of friends who like all sexes but prefer not to use any type of label. And guess what, that’s totally ok! You could maybe identify as queer if that feels right to you and if not you don’t have to identify as anything in particular either!
