I kept up with your videos throughout the season and honestly love the way you present everything and the stellas and thunderbolts system got me hyped for the new season of Spy x Family 😂😂❤
Amazing and in depth video, I agree with 90% of what you have said. I will add the Thunderbolt that if the trio continued down the search for who didn’t have a hankie rather than stopping with the cast they could have figured out who the killer was. I felt it was very illogical that they didn’t attempt to identify any production members who didn’t have one.
You are absolutely right, I remember yelling that at my TV earlier on! If Mabel went to detective Williams and said here's what I'm thinking, demand everyone produce their hankie (or proof that they sold their hankie online for kimber) this wouldn't even be a discussion!!
I really enjoyed your lectures 😉 / recaps (including the Sting Theory video - I was good and did my required watching 😁). They added to the fun of the show for me. And I LOVE the use of the Clue music in this one. 😆 Brilliant!
Thank you for watching and for loving clue! One of my absolute favorite movies, just had to incorporate it wherever I could 😂 plus thanks for doing your homework!! ❤❤
@@kitkatz3859 Mine, too! Let me tell you, there was no greater cure for stress in high school than laughing with my cousin over that gem. We still quote it. I hadn’t seen it in years, though - but you inspired me to rewatch, and it was just as fun as ever. 😊 “1+2+2+1!” 😁
Fun video! Counter-argument, gentlepeople of the jury: My defendant, series 3, doesn't meet the standards of a fair-play whodunnit (where the reader/audience is presented with all of the clues necessary to solve the mystery ahead of the detective) but a whodunnit doesn't *have* to be fair play. They're the gold standard of the genre to be sure, and they're incredibly impressive when done well, but I disagree with Wikipedia that the audience has to be given concrete means to solve the case. I think 'whodunnit' merely necessitates being presented with a cast of suspects from whom you can guess *or* deduce the culprit. Essentially, if you can place your money on a character at the start and stand a 1 in [number of suspects] chance, it qualifies. If the definition fits, you must acquit.
Counsel you killed it! Definitely acknowledge it's a matter of your definition and I can very much see your perspective on this, thanks so much for your thoughtful verdict!
I think I would’ve liked the plot line more if it actually stuck to the plot of producers play. I feel like it would’ve made more sense. Say Donna just never told Cliff, but intended for it to be a flop. That’s why she hires Oliver in the first place. I feel like the shows given us a good amount of background info to let us know Oliver’s never really been a successful director. And he apparently still owes her money lol. So she books him knowing it’ll flop. But then some other thing would’ve had to happen for Ben to die.
See if they fully committed to that I think that could have been more fun at least and would have given an interesting wrinkle to cliff and Donna's dynamic, instead they didn't really give us much at all other than them being creepily codependent
I have loved all your videos. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I completely agree with your points. I have since rewatched Season 1 and 2 of OMITB. Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep were incredible additions. The theme was way, way, way too heavy handed. There wasn't a murder. Ben was poisoned (not sure why Dickie said "they called him". could no one see he was breathing?) and then accidentally pushed (why do they have him in handcuffs - it was an accident). I didn't like at all that Oliver was so unhappy the whole season. I could have done without the heart attack. Martin Short is so funny. I don't think they really solved anything this season. Per the other comment above/below, they dropped the hankie clue. Oliver took the sign in sheet so why wouldn't he have looked at it? They only figured out that Loretta was Dickie's mother because she confessed to it in her letter. They only found out about Donna / Cliff by watching the interviews Detective Williams did. And why did no one even have a conversation about who was at the party and when they left? And on and on... but, in summary, I love it and will absolutely be watching OMITB season 4.
Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your thoughts as well! You raise a ton of good points -- they solved almost nothing!! The hankie point kinda drives me crazy the more I think about it, it just kinda feeds back into the theme of characters being written to defy logic in order to fit a narrative for the story. So aggravating!
I agree so with this not being a true whodunit and I think you did a great job with essentially proving why it's not. There was even a meta-clue (red herring) that had to be relied on for "evidence" : "who has an iPhone and who doesn't". 😂
I was so excited to see you dropped a new episode. I agree with 99% of what you said. I also believe the writers created conflict between Mabel, Oliver and Charles just so they could bring them back together at the conclusion. That was a waste of time and lazy writing. There were too many ancillary characters and a little Mathew Broderick goes a long way... I hope next season focuses more on our trio and not a bunch of characters whose only purpose is as a red herring. Love your channel. Give your kitty a cat treat from me! 🐱
Thanks so much for watching and a kitty treat has been administered! As much as I had an initial negative rection to Matthew Brodericks involvement I cannot deny he was funny this season 😭
I have to completely disagree with the last writing part. Almost ANYTIME there is conflict or tension between characters, especially main, we know they’re going to reunite in some way. We knew the avengers had to reunite. We know Harry, Ron and Hermione are going to reunite; we know any main character who has tension or conflict with other main characters that they’re more than likely going to reunite. That’s not lazy writing that’s just character development.

You are so kind thank you for tuning in! ❤ And spy family season two is just as unhinged and amazing as season one so far, can't wait to see the rest!

True though I don’t think they knew Ben have EVERYONE a hankie.
@@alexamaya3208 They at least knew Howard and KT had one from the after party at Oliver’s but didn’t ask to see theirs.
@@ScreenFavorites did they? I know WE saw it, but I’m not sure any of the trio did.

If you go back & watch the scene, Cliff definitely, purposely pushes Ben into the elevator shaft.
