Anyway. VVS AGARKAR KUMBLE were clearly missed, for inconsistent Kaif Srinath (especially in Final) & Mongia respectively. Trusting SRINATH short length bowling was blunder in Final, likewise trusting Kaif Mongia most inconsistent batting was biggest blunder. Later, Ganguly repaired his mistake by taking VVS in, who was fairly good and proved his worth in AUS 2003/04 ODIs, so excluding VVS & AGARKAR KUMBLE was fatal mistake 👍

Actually Australia has always been a strong team. It's just that they became super strong in the 90s. Even if you see the first world cup final, it was Aus only against West Indies. And before that also Aus has been an elite team in test cricket also. So Aus overall has always been a strong team. Strong, stronger, strongest and never been a weak team. Aus unlike many other teams has never been an underdog or taken for granted.

India's game was already over there. also look at the group stage game. you couldn't win against this side. you guys got favored in 2023 final but couldn't utilize it. australia won both 2003 and 2023 fairly. they were a giant team.

In the whole world cup 2003, Australia struggled with their performance of batsmen; but when it mattered the most they just blasted the Indian bowling attack which was at their peak and the decision of bowling first was a very bad one.

Mohammad Kaif genuinely used to be most useless batsman in Indian squad. Apart from Natwest final 2002 and Partnership with Sachin against Pakistan in 2003 World Cup , he didn't play any inning worth noting. Whenever he used to come on crease , fans never had confidence on him that he will score fast runs or finish game in style. His major contribution used to come from fielding!!!!
