Amazingly good…. Arnel is no doubt one of the to 10 best singers in the world. Not so many can sing different songs from different great singers in the world not to mention, very high note songs!

These vintage Arnel Pineda videos are a gem. I can't seem to listen to other covers with enjoyment as much. Arnel's singing from his gut and I am captivated, even today in February 2022.
Props to this amazing singer from the Phillippines!! To ALL naysayers out there, I for one have been a Journey fan since '79 and believe that he is the most qualified person to hold the lead singer position. All others have come & gone since Perry, but none are as humble as Arnel. And to add to his credentials, he is bilingual! I wonder if all the naysayers can even sing in another 2nd language as good as Arnel. So please stop the hate and insults, and just enjoy the music!

This sing is NOT EASY TO SING. Not only does he sing it with a full voice,he also captures some of Zanders tones. Another uneasy task for ANY SINGER. Journey was very smart to pick this guy up

Arnel Pineda is really an amazing Filipino singer I've known! mastered the great/popular songs of the 80's to 90's and beyond, ( if you are a lead vocalist of a band you must be ready of all the requested songs esp if you are in the resto bar you must know the lyrics of the songs)

This is the real voice of Pineda. Tenor with a warm raspy gritty tone, closest to Bryan Adams. This is most coveted by rockstars as they sound manly even if they go up the scales, as compared to having a high tone sounding rather feminish. Perry has a high tone, so his fans perceive that he registers higher or what they refer to as timbre. Fact is, if you play their CDs side by side, they are on the same key. Ariel's gritty raspy sound is seen as straining too hard, concluding that his voice is fast declining. Have you heard anyone complain about Steve Tyler, Kurt Cobain, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Bon Jovi, Sting, Bryan Adams, etc?

i never heard arnel's voice those were the years i was so busy working two jobs somebody told me how great he is only now after so many years i google his bio music and personal info and those songs from journey .. faithfully was a theme song of mine , ariel send me a picture from japan and on the back side he wrote iam forever yours faithfully signed his name ..

Ohmygosh, I can’t seem to stop watching these old videos of Arnel Pineda. The man has monster vocals; there’s no denying it. His versatility boggles my mind. From Texas in October 2021. He is amazing , isn’t he? I could listen to his beautiful voice for hours. I have followed his career for about 14 years now. He never disappoints. I am so happy Journey is touring again. Arnel is also doing some other things like touring with Bamboo and he has a lot is videos he posted on youtube during the pandemic. Some really beautiful stuff.

And he is a box of fun on stage, always engaging with the crowd, fist-bumping, hi-fives, and small talks. He always said thank you and po. So humble.
