- We have an abundance of bananas in the Philippines so let’s make some banana chips. Contrary to what a lot of people might think, making banana chips is not that difficult. Make sure that the bananas are unripe and are sliced very thinly and uniformly. I use a mandolin for this purpose. In the video, my mandolin has stains from the sap of the unripe bananas which can not be avoided and can not be removed. I have been making banana chips for a long time for home use because I like to be able to control the amount of sugar that I add to my bananas. In this tutorial, I dipped the banana chips in melted chocolate. Give it a try and you will surely love it. Or you can choose to not dip it in melted chocolate.

Chef thanks so much for your recipe..ngayon ko lng po nadaanan..gumagawa po ako ng banana chips but i didn't add glucose ksi po ang napanood ko di sla gumamit glucose,vinegar po ang kahalo ng tubig at sugar,para daw po tumagal at maging crispy.bkit po di nyo po hinaluan ng suka?
My research on this recipe has not been able to prove the effectiveness of the use of vinegar. The chips will stay crispy basta sakto pagka luto. So far , happy naman ako sa result nang recipe ko. I hope you can give it a try too! Thanks for watching!

You can use light corn syrup instead if you can't find glucose.
