If you aren't already, I'd recommend you play co-op mode holding both joy cons by yourself. I feel like they put that setting in to prototype for this game and in Final Remix, it sings like a dream
Yeah the Switch version of the game isn’t the greatest. It’s a natural consequence of porting a game that took full advantage of the dual screen system. TWEWY is game built almost exclusively for the DS family, so porting it to something without a dual screen will introduce lots of problems
There's a part of me that wishes it was a bit more like the original. And there's a part of me that likes how different it is. I'm going to love this game.
For me it strikes that balance perfectly. The original spirit and soul of the game is fully intact but brought to life with new concepts and a huge amount of originality. I'm calling it, this'll be the best game of 2021 (for me).
I like that it's different. I still have the game on both DS and Switch so I can always just go back and play those, but this new control scheme will definitely make the game more approachable for newcomers while retaining the feel of the original game somewhat.
I really do hope you can do multiple pin sets during a battle. It would really expand on the battle system as something to experiment with. Plus not all situations could have every pin valid for use.

I'm glad to have some more voice work than the first game had, but full voice work would be the icing on the cake. I'm loving what I'm seeing regardless.

I like that the BGM dynamically switchs to the song's end/climax each battle phase. But maan... Fret had to remind the gate Reaper to do his job? They just don't find good shikigami like they used to...
Only thing I'll miss are the super flashy anime mini cinematics of the synched attacks. And also it would've been cool if they put like a mini game before those attacks like in the solo and final remix. But those are minor things that I can live without, gameplay looks dope af. What I can't live with out is the *A R E Y O U R E A D Y* at the begining of any battle. Square enix needs to fix this

There's an (R bumper) ice move that launches dudes in the air, and a (L bumper) move that drops a rock on enemies, dealing extra damage to anyone in the air. At the end of the demo max level moves are doing like 10-40 damage per hit. The ice pillar + Boulder drop does like 400+750 damage

The Someday rearrangement is pretty neat, but I gotta give mad props to the Owari Hajimari arrangement. Could barely tell it was that song for a bit.
It sounds similar to Carpe Diem from the Anime where ASCA sings it.
I like that the side reapers have more expressions in their character models.
I wish the groove supers had more flair like the first game.

Well when it was 2d you did have to control 2 screens/characters at the same time, but its changed a lot and it looks cool

Each character has 1 pin, more characters might join the party (I'm assuming two more characters will, to make 6 pin slots)
