Most players just participate in the game of basketball. Others control it, They control the pace, the style, and the spacing of the game. When Luka Doncic enters the game, everything slows down. When Giannis gets rolling, the game starts to move at a breakneck pace. Some or the most electric players in the league don’t truly control the game, and some players don’t appear to be stars with the numbers alone, but when you watch them play you see it. When people talk about an X-Factor that makes a player a superstar, that is the X-Factor. Cade Cunningham has that X-Factor. He is not a superstar yet, and he likely won’t reach that level for a few seasons. But he has what it takes.

Before his injury he was really unlocking his strides. Great efficient scorer and was just getting comfortable getting to the 20ppg player he can be. He will get back in time though.

They would get cooked tbh, can’t have two ball dominant shooters in the back court who both are only at best average defenders (trae is a net negative on defense)
Edit: I rescind my statement about steph being ball dominant, I was wrong and it was a statement made in haste without thinking but they are still both relatively ball dominant. Steph had a 30% usg rate for 10th in the NBA and trae had a 34% usg rate for 4th.
Klay is literally the perfect 2 for stef. No need for the ball, and plays some high level D.

I love these runs especially with some of the younger teams getting involved now and playing together, did anybody else think the Raptors were getting a little too physical for these light runs? Couple of the the bumps around the rim were surprising, surprised nobody gotta little mad or at least said something about it, I wanna see all these guys healthy for the season, seeing MPJ getting bumped especially had me holding my breathe! Kevin Knox, Lonnie Walker, and of course Curry all looked impressive tho!

Rico Hines is their assistant coach. I'm sure they'll be fine, they're super good at playing with contact as well. Rico would not let that if it's risky for his players. We haven't heard any player getting an injury while playing in his runs, unlike that mismanaged Crawsover featuring a season ending injury and a slippery court.
