Not even, if there is too much fighting, people complain and when they sidestep from the fighting to flesh out the world building & characters, they complain. The good thing is that the story will flow well during a re-read of the volume and in the anime. It's just jarring cause of the bi-weekly release and long wait time.

Yeah gotta be honest I DO NOT like the blue balling of going from this highly intense and anticipated fight to the low stakes slice of life chapters so suddenly after months of waiting. If Void is just gonna get one shotted or low diffed by Saitama or Blast then get it over with then move on to the neo hero vs HA story arc. These chapters take too long to get hyped, then let down when the story goes in a different direction out of nowhere.
I think the biggest problem with one punch man rn is the pacing of its story. Before this everything felt focused. The beginning chapters that season 1 of the anime covered focused on Saitama and Genos and their journey through the hero association. Yes random crap happened around it but all the random storylines still fit neatly into the main one. Then we have the monster association saga which was very plot heavy making for a story that felt like an actual story. Things have kinda fallen off since Garo was defeated. It feels like there’s no clear direction. One moment we’re focused on the neo heroes, the next it’s king and his misadventures, and then we’re now focusing on the ninja village. The worst offender of this is of course the most recent chapters where one moment we’re about to witness an epic battle between former allies only for it to cut to something completely different. None of these plot lines really connect to eachother. It feels more like I’m reading a series of short stories within the opm universe rather than an actual narrative.

I mean if you think abouth it,after Cosmic Garou,we immediately got a new powerful God level threat,who can manipulate dimensions,and we get a fucking multiverse on top of that. So we got way too much,way too early. I just want to see the fight itself,and I don't mind if we need mounths or even one or two years to continue it,cuz I know the moment it will start,we will eat

It gives us an overview of everything happening in the same span of time (I assume both ninja arc and Neo arc will impact each other in some way) 2. It gives the writers more time to develop a satisfactory resolution 3. Builds anticipation for what's to come and keeps people reading to find said resolution (regardless of when the fight happens I'm sure you all look forward to reading regardless no?)

Chapter felt like a humongous waste of time and we are still getting these 15 page chapters. This Neo Hero stuff is not what the focus should be on. We've been through a number of redraws between sonic void and flash and we still havent wrapped up that arc before the hiatus. This isnt about the big fight. This is about keeping the arc cohesive. Should be no reason we jump to Suiryu of all people whose not relevant till the Neo Hero Arc.

Yeah, I agree to some extent. The manga has been slowly going downhill since the Psychic sis- I mean Saitama x Tatsumaki shipping arc. But things as been slowly creeping back up with the ninja arc, and while I'm also one of those people who doesn't like the cut off from the ninja arc, I actually am excited to go into the Neo heroes arc properly. It's one of the more interesting arcs in the webcomic, and I hope that doesn't get done dirty like the Psychic Sisters arc, fingers crossed. Still waiting for my boy Blue to appear.

It would have been fine if Murata took a 4 month long break instead of a 2 month break as long as he returned with a chapter picking up the story from where he left off. This switch up is extremely jarring and comes at an awful time killing all the REDRAWN buildup. For a manga ridden with redraws and bad pacing this is a new low. And don't even get me started with the page count, the average chapter during the MA arc was like 40+ pages, now we are lucky to get 15 on a good day and not have it be redrawn.

Yeah, I agree to some extent. The manga has been slowly going downhill since the Psychic sis- I mean Saitama x Tatsumaki shipping arc. But things as been slowly creeping back up with the ninja arc, and while I'm also one of those people who doesn't like the cut off from the ninja arc, I actually am excited to go into the Neo heroes arc properly. It's one of the more interesting arcs in the webcomic, and I hope that doesn't get done dirty like the Psychic Sisters arc, fingers crossed. Still waiting for my boy Blue to appear.

@animeanxiety My theory is that ONE is trying to show off NEO heroes because there might be a fight with the hero association or a difficult collaboration with both associations or all along the S class heroes that were from the hero association and joined them, they are just being spies seeing if they could get info about Neo Association

It would have been fine if Murata took a 4 month long break instead of a 2 month break as long as he returned with a chapter picking up the story from where he left off. This switch up is extremely jarring and comes at an awful time killing all the REDRAWN buildup. For a manga ridden with redraws and bad pacing this is a new low. And don't even get me started with the page count, the average chapter during the MA arc was like 40+ pages, now we are lucky to get 15 on a good day and not have it be redrawn.

The hero visuals have been meh. The Tatsumaki one was outright bad with goofy ahh head proportions. But you don't need bad visuals to know jc staff is not gonna cook, we already have season 2 for that.
