mile’s view of empathy makes me feel rly validated as an autistic person. i’m the “annoying devil’s advocate” when it comes to complaining sessions with my friends, so it’s rly nice to hear this kind of communication be normalized and encouraged by an allistic person. i’m always telling my friends that i listen to this podcast to get a glimpse of “neurotypical culture” LOL, but it’s surprisingly been a rly safe space for me and all my neurodiveristies. thank you miles for being such a welcoming presence!

Here's some advice for Caroline (even though she didn't call to ask herself) don't try to date your co-worker. I know they may be the best, you may be great friends outside of work, but it's just so unlikely to end well. This kind of emplyment in-dating, especially at a bar, is just inviting the kind of drama that impacts your livelihood and your personal life. Where are you going to turn when the relationship goes south? Also propositioning your co-worker more than once is sexual harassment. Just no. Please no.

I have to talk about the first story/situation cause I feel like the actual kiss is kinda glossed over- like he kissed her (without asking which is just kinda eh lol) in front of all of his coworkers, and the girl who he knows likes him, who he knows all work in a place where she hangs out constantly- like he gave you the choices of “date me and maybe get into a messy relationship and mess with you new friendship a little” or “turn me down and make it real awkward for literally the entire friend group and at your hangout spot” Like I don’t think the guy did it on purpose but it’s just kind of a dick move lol
