I wish I knew soda back then lol. Anyway, how’s sofa? Was it your first choice of school? What made you choose sofa over other schools? Hi Sa-sha Sarah! It just turned out that the deadline for the scholarship application for SoFA was earlier hence I wasn’t able to check out other fashion schools too! If not SoFA, School of Design and Arts (Benilde) is another good choice! Lots of talented young designers as well! But SoFA definitely is something more tight-knit hence we were able to closely critique our works as well! We have a lot of international students as well which was exciting in terms of global design scoping and, well, more friends! It’s also more of a theoretical + testing type of teaching hence we apply what we learn real time. Like actually selling our garment during the course of the semester - and analyzing what went right/wrong and what could’ve been done to maximize the market share! Also the approach is more highlighting your own unique story. Rather than regurgitating existing stories and designs. Definitely, a great environment to learn from! 💓
Hi! Yes! One of the most prepared design schools, I should say in terms of the current online learning setup! ☺️ Visit their website to check out the deadline for the annual scholarship application. They can only take 1 so make sure to give your best sa fashion portfolio mo! I never held a needle before nor drew a fashion illustration so my saving glory for this crammed requirement was really my ability to whip out new design concepts. You must be able to present a strong design vision that will help them sift you through the pile of applications! Will post more fashion videos soon! Good luck! ☺️🤞
@333 I was planning to check out Benilde apart from SoFA since SDA is nearer. (proximity to my house) But SoFA’s deadline for scholarship application was so early that I then took that first! Never had the pleasure to check out all the design schools so be sure to see what’s best for you before you apply! 💓🤓
@@beadgallery9776 Yes! You can take reference from other people provided that it’s a reference challenge or perhaps, sketching a runway look to demonstrate your fashion illustration skill. You must always put the source though and must never publicize this as your own. Apart from these kinds of circumstances, you must always create your original designs so as to not plagiarize. ☺️

After you graduate po do you still need to take vocational classes or something? Sorry, so many questions po im in grade 11 and i’m thinking of taking fashion design sana for college, thank you 🥺❤️
@@marga1909 Hi Sarah! I already have a college degree (AB Diplomacy) prior to taking up fashion. I suggest take mo yung 4-year degree na fashion sa SoFA. Tuition fee is around 140k/sem but bumaba na siya ngayong digital campus. No need for me to take other vocational courses since second degree ko na ito. But on your case dapat yung college degree talaga na 4 years yung kunin mo so you can earn a diploma. ☺️
