i never knew the multiple ways that you could wear the jumbo other than your shoulder and crossbody, to be honest the backpack one looks really fashionable and cute. i was originally thinking of small or medium but this is convincing me to get a larger size ! great video, the only bag review youtube vid that i would watch for a consistent 54 minutes

I literally watched the entire video. LUV'd it, subscribing now. I'm 5'8" and plus size. I own the Trendy WOC and a Medium double flap. The medium flap is from the 18B collection in a raspberry color. Wish I didin't let the SA convince me to get that color. It's pretty, but ultimately, I wanted a black caviar jumbo with gold hardward and somehow ended up with the raspberry medium. Only used a few times...Shame on me. My next will be the Jumbo or Maxi.

I still love ❤❤❤my jumbo in silver. Perfect for my height and weight as well. I’m 5’7 138-142 lbs. I got the bag in 2014 preloved for 2k+. Still looking great when I got it. I also have the vintage medium lamb from the 90’s with gold plated got it for 1k+. The inside is not perfect but outside still looking good. I normally use it for night out or formal dinner. I would never let them go. Chanel prices nowadays are unattainable. I would pass them on to my daughter 😊

Doyinsola 03 thank you! A4 would be letter size. Last time I checked, I was able to fit a 13” MacBook Pro and a letter sized notebook in the maxi. It won’t fit in the jumbo since it’s not as tall.

Actually! My sister got a jumbo with silver hardware recently - made in France! Perhaps the recent versions have been made in France because jumbos weren’t as in demand for a while. But that is great to hear!
Hi, I know you are from Canada and maybe there the small was more popular for the price point, but in here, i believe it was a different reason. In fact, it became more popular in the recent years for the “small handbags” increasing in popularity, ladies complaining about jumbo and maxi getting to heavy and because the small size was even more imposible to get than any other size. Also, in Europe top size was always the small and the m/l more than the jumbo or maxi. In the US about two or three years ago, both sizes became #1 choice, but the small was very hard to get;). Great information in your video, I agree with you in many things ;). I recently sold my jumbo and now I am so regretting it 😭😩. I am not a fan of Maxis but I think jumbo is perfection 🙈. Btw, my jumbo looked just like yours in the caviar shine, shape and all 🥰😍love yours! One more thing, my jumbo was made in France and was from 2012 and in US, only the small size is always made in France, most M/L and minis are MII;)

So far, all medium flaps I’ve come across are still made in France. I know the jumbos were very popular in North America which is probably why they outsourced production to Italy to keep up with demand. You are right that the small bag trend also made the small and medium sizes very popular. Especially the mini!
therealshakeen funny in here, even when the m/l was not as popular as it is today, it was and still is very very difficult to find them MIF. Minis is rare as well. I have three minis that I adore and they are all MII, one M/L I just bought two months ago MII and the small which are all MIF. I agree with you I would prefer them all MIF just because is CHANEL’s origin, BUT... I have to admit the caviar and shine is completely different between MIF and MII and both are equally amazing but totally different. Love your idea with the ribbon, I never had the slouchy bubble sides problem but I will start using the ribbon just in case;)

Hi, I have a jumbo from 2010. However it's extremely heavy for me and I haven't used it much for the past 10 years. Would you recommend that I switch to the medium flap?
I see, well, you could sell it as the prices are very high now. The medium flaps is great, but size wise it's quite small compared to the jumbo. The strap is also short and I find it most suitable to wear in the spring summer. Not over coats. Have you considered the reissue? That bag is a lot lighter in weight and amazing to touch.

LYXBAG bag love the quality and it came with every pocket and compartment just as stated in the description. I particularly like the length of the handle it sets nicely on my shoulder not too long or too short plus the sturdiness it seems to have.
I was convinced I wanted a jumbo but husband got me a medium large and now I think the jumbo is too high maintenance for me with the shaping etc - I LOVE the medium / large and learning work it for my lifestyle!
You and I storage our handbags the same way. You are right that’s the way the dust bag is supposed to be used. I also do not lock or turn the locket on any of the handbags for the second flap not to get the zipper mark on the leather even though I have the felt protector on top of the second flap as well;). I learned that the hard way :(. Also, I do have the air pillows (from Amazon lol) inside some of them😳, nothing ever happened but I do check them once in a while just to make sure😉

Hi Kiran, I believe the gold on classic coloured classic flaps (i.e. black and beige Claire) will be more yellow gold vs seasonal coloured classic flap bags. For example, the gold hardware looks less yellow on my seasonal classic flaps in yellow, pinks, white, etc. But my beige Claire and Black classic flaps (classic colours) are more yellow gold. Same goes for the WOC.

I Wonder if you could pull in an inch or so inside on each side of the chain and put two Ribbons, one for each side, to shorten the chain for cross body wear. Or a little more for a one shoulder look „long“ carry option ? It would be the same idea as for shortening the mini, but not for both chains with one ribbon but for each side ?
I got caviar jumbo but I traded it for a medium large, much, much better, at least for me. The jumbo is so beautiful BUT too big, I’m 5”5 and it was in my closet and I didn’t use it. For the ladies out there who cannot decide between jumbo and medium/large, go to the boutique and try before get one....
Hey Rosey, I don't have a large size heart bag. I have the clutch which is the next size down. Although I haven't handled the larger heart bag, I've heard it's got better capacity than anticipated. I do prefer the proportions of the heart shape on the smaller clutch.
That’s funny 😆 how things can have very different meanings in different languages. Similarly there is word in French that means fancy/ bougie but in Spanish the same word means stinky 😆😂

Doyinsola 03 thank you! A4 would be letter size. Last time I checked, I was able to fit a 13” MacBook Pro and a letter sized notebook in the maxi. It won’t fit in the jumbo since it’s not as tall.

I ended up buying caviar maxi because it fits more stuff (even a laptop!). However I kept wondering if it’s too big for my frame and if I should’ve gotten a jumbo instead. But hearing that you love Maxi more made me happy with my purchase ahaha

Actually! My sister got a jumbo with silver hardware recently - made in France! Perhaps the recent versions have been made in France because jumbos weren’t as in demand for a while. But that is great to hear!
Hi, I know you are from Canada and maybe there the small was more popular for the price point, but in here, i believe it was a different reason. In fact, it became more popular in the recent years for the “small handbags” increasing in popularity, ladies complaining about jumbo and maxi getting to heavy and because the small size was even more imposible to get than any other size. Also, in Europe top size was always the small and the m/l more than the jumbo or maxi. In the US about two or three years ago, both sizes became #1 choice, but the small was very hard to get;). Great information in your video, I agree with you in many things ;). I recently sold my jumbo and now I am so regretting it 😭😩. I am not a fan of Maxis but I think jumbo is perfection 🙈. Btw, my jumbo looked just like yours in the caviar shine, shape and all 🥰😍love yours! One more thing, my jumbo was made in France and was from 2012 and in US, only the small size is always made in France, most M/L and minis are MII;)

So far, all medium flaps I’ve come across are still made in France. I know the jumbos were very popular in North America which is probably why they outsourced production to Italy to keep up with demand. You are right that the small bag trend also made the small and medium sizes very popular. Especially the mini!
therealshakeen funny in here, even when the m/l was not as popular as it is today, it was and still is very very difficult to find them MIF. Minis is rare as well. I have three minis that I adore and they are all MII, one M/L I just bought two months ago MII and the small which are all MIF. I agree with you I would prefer them all MIF just because is CHANEL’s origin, BUT... I have to admit the caviar and shine is completely different between MIF and MII and both are equally amazing but totally different. Love your idea with the ribbon, I never had the slouchy bubble sides problem but I will start using the ribbon just in case;)

Hi, I have a jumbo from 2010. However it's extremely heavy for me and I haven't used it much for the past 10 years. Would you recommend that I switch to the medium flap?
I see, well, you could sell it as the prices are very high now. The medium flaps is great, but size wise it's quite small compared to the jumbo. The strap is also short and I find it most suitable to wear in the spring summer. Not over coats.
Have you considered the reissue? That bag is a lot lighter in weight and amazing to touch.

LYXBAG bag love the quality and it came with every pocket and compartment just as stated in the description. I particularly like the length of the handle it sets nicely on my shoulder not too long or too short plus the sturdiness it seems to have.

I was convinced I wanted a jumbo but husband got me a medium large and now I think the jumbo is too high maintenance for me with the shaping etc - I LOVE the medium / large and learning work it for my lifestyle!

You and I storage our handbags the same way. You are right that’s the way the dust bag is supposed to be used. I also do not lock or turn the locket on any of the handbags for the second flap not to get the zipper mark on the leather even though I have the felt protector on top of the second flap as well;). I learned that the hard way :(. Also, I do have the air pillows (from Amazon lol) inside some of them😳, nothing ever happened but I do check them once in a while just to make sure😉

Yes that is correct, the chain for the jumbo and maxi are a tad thicker than the medium and small.

Does the classic flap come only in gold finish or also in champagne gold too?
Hi Kiran, I believe the gold on classic coloured classic flaps (i.e. black and beige Claire) will be more yellow gold vs seasonal coloured classic flap bags. For example, the gold hardware looks less yellow on my seasonal classic flaps in yellow, pinks, white, etc. But my beige Claire and Black classic flaps (classic colours) are more yellow gold. Same goes for the WOC.

I Wonder if you could pull in an inch or so inside on each side of the chain and put two Ribbons, one for each side, to shorten the chain for cross body wear. Or a little more for a one shoulder look „long“ carry option ? It would be the same idea as for shortening the mini, but not for both chains with one ribbon but for each side ?

I got caviar jumbo but I traded it for a medium large, much, much better, at least for me. The jumbo is so beautiful BUT too big, I’m 5”5 and it was in my closet and I didn’t use it. For the ladies out there who cannot decide between jumbo and medium/large, go to the boutique and try before get one....

Hey Rosey, I don't have a large size heart bag. I have the clutch which is the next size down. Although I haven't handled the larger heart bag, I've heard it's got better capacity than anticipated. I do prefer the proportions of the heart shape on the smaller clutch.
