this looks like an excellent game that plays well solo... with the P500 reprint coming soon I am adding this to my list of games to get... thanks for sharing..
One last thing: The soviets have pol alignment markers in bulgaria and rumania, but they couldn´t place any there in conference 6, because the global issue between Stalin and Churchill is still neutral in turn 7. This is a game that makes it easy to overlook some rules in the first playthroughs. I made some terrible mistakes in my first runs :-)
Rule 5.21 or 4.22 , at 11:25 Stalin should go first, not Churchill. Also at 25:45 you seem to have the same staff cards for Roosevelt before and after you debated the global issue. As by rule 5.26, one of the staff cards should have been discarded.
I have heard conflicting strategy discussion over the american ambition to get the second front open asap. The argument is that the allies put all their strength into the italian front and leave the USSR to rot in the east for the time being. Threaten Russia with the Russia declares war on Japan issue which will stretch them even further. Only get the second front on the table when the Russians begins to make progress in the eastern front.

Thanks for the video as I am just now trying to get to grips with the solo game as well.
Thx. I will try solo.

A good intro to how a turn works, thanks. Have you thought about giving a try to Pericles?
Yeah I'm tempted, but it's been hard to get my friends to play Churchill, might be even harder to get a 4th for Pericles.
