Hi Blackie, greeting from Australia 🇦🇺, thank you for your time to make these videos. I use the same system except I use a diver's belt and buckle, weight belt system, as started right hand released in emergency, you can tighten them very quickly and easily.

I agree Blackie, I kept using the old U.S. G.I. issue utility / cartridge belt. It is still very capable, even with MOLLE kit. But my set up is as it was while I was in service. Cartridge belt, with suspenders, two Canteen pouches with the canteens two canteen cups the Butt Pack, Two magazine pouches, but I added a pistol holster and being that a bayonet is no longer an issue, my K-Bar knife.
I have the belt extender, I"am not as awesome as most but still awesome, LOL, and it comes in handy when wearing a coat during colder weather and I"am just simply too lazy to readjust the belt. LOL. Another excellent video.

I use a rigger belt. It can go through your belt loops or over your outerwear, it’s easy to take on and off, you can use it to rappel in a pinch, and it is strong enough to tow a vehicle. 😊

Those of you that know Randy at stitch gear, Outfitters has a bush craft belt with shoulder straps that is fully adjustable for big and small. Those of us that aren’t skinny bean poles cannot really use those military belts because most of your military clothing and clothing, attire or items Like belts and suspenders are for smaller in shape or taller in shape people.

I have been meaning to make myself a bump in the night belt... belt and shoulder straps. with Flashlight, handgun, magazines for the handgun, shotgun reloads, first aid kit and a phone holster. when things go bump in the night If I'm in my tighty whities or fully dressed to go out to church, I can grab the harness and be fully armed in seconds with everything right where I have practiced using it. set up another in the car for a get home situation. Thanks for the reminder.

If you ever got out of a vehicle at a trail head and had to slide you belt out to hook several items to it and have people stare at you like you are going to drop your pants and then when you get back and would like to sit down and go through it again, you will want a seperate belt. It has been this way through history. You would certainly want one if you are wearing bib overalls or suspenders.

Level 1: Utility/Shooters Belt - Remains on your person at all times - Contains the basic of the basics for short term survival.
Level 2: Haversack - Stays on your person while hiking or scouting - Contains VERY basic shelter (tarp), sleep system (bivvy bag), cook kit (nesting canteen, cup, stove).
Level 3: Rucksack/Backpack - Carry to camp - Contains camp items - Good Shelter and Sleep system, Robust Cook Kit, Food, Clothes, Lantern etc.

I'd list it by the levels and give examples of containers. For example, the web belt with suspenders, canteen(s), butt pack, and some pouches might qualify as a haversack. Similarly, I have a small daypack that would work as a limited haversack, but can add a hip or shoulder pack that exceeds the haversack level.
So, I like the idea and am using it informally, it might be good to get a list of levels with the idea that items could move up or down a level. OR make it based on duration. My daypack is for 24 hours max (limits on food and water), but could stretch to several days.

I like the old pistol belts, but I usually run the suspenders with them. You can make a pretty decent setup with all the pouches that are available.

I unfortunately lost control of my belly just enough so a belt like that wants to slide off my belly and fall nearly straight to the ground after 2 paces.
I tried carrying it around the shoulder and found out whatever is the heaviest part will get to the lowest point fast
(That's why carrying a sword on the back is just pure fallacy, they were worn at the hip or waste... I know from research AND experience)

Hey Blackie, are you no longer on Rumble? I had you on there and now I don’t. Also, on one of your Percussion Revolver Series videos, a feller asked if you would antique a pistol for him and you told him to private message you. I was wondering is that option to get that done was ever available to your followers and fans. I would love to have a blackpowder pistol done by you. I’ve done a couple of mine and you even commented on one of mine on Facebook once, but I’m not completely happy with the way they came out. Anyhow just to have one done by you would be a treasure.

@LooneyBinUK Very true. But for a stick figure such as myself, the LBE allows me to adjust the belt only to "snug" and keeps the belt from sliding down to my pelvis or lower. Should I simply tighten the belt further, it digs into me uncomfortably and is an impediment.

Hi brother! Just a question, I’ve seen so many combat/ survival knives from America online and I’m sure a lot would get the job done, so is the Bowie or machete a good choice? Or a bush crafting axe? I like tanto style but I’m also looking for something thick enough with a full tang and a sharp edge, I can do everything with without destroying the blade, there’s so many nice looking knives around $400
