    Do you know where to find an instruction manual for the Integy Evo aluminum hop up kit for the Traxxas Rustler VXL?

    Do you need to buy the set up board separate or does it come with the Universal Set Up System?

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the board is sold separately

    I've read some reviews stating that the camber accuracy of this system is out by a few degrees. Have you compared it to anything or know of this issue?

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      my camber reading is spot on with my angle gauge, the key is making sure nothing if binding and there is no slop, there are different adapters available for various axle types so it's important to use the correct adapter for your car.

    Hi There! I have some struggles with this setup station for 1/8 buggy setup... The tool giving consistent measurements (meaning if you repeat the measurement you get the same number) but comparing these measurement to classic tools have significant differences.
    For example the measurement for camber: we measured camber with the classic camber gauge and got a value of 1 degree on both sides. We measured with integy system and get a value 3 degrees on one side and 5 on the other side...! If you also see the car from above, for sure it does not have 3 or 5 degrees camber!!
    We measure again and again with Integy and get consistent measurement (3 and 5 degrees) but obviously this is not correct.
    Same on the rear side
    Can you please advise ?

      It's been many years since I posted this video and I am a consumer just like you. I find it best to stick with just 1 tool and use that as your baseline. If you need to make adjustments for the car then be sure you use the same tool.
      I only use the Integy station for initial car setup from a brand new kit build, mostly to get front toe settings.
      I now use the following HUDY camber gauge at the track for faster setup changes, being a fixed gauge there is no room for error:

    I am new to the set up station. I was looking how you was explaining the way it work. I heard Hudy is a good station but they are on back order. Does this comes with directions on how this works?

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      unfortunately there are no instructions, but this station is common to many other brands like HUDY where I believe you can use their instructions just fine.

    How long is the standard 1/8 scale buggy adapter?

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      there are many different adapters, they are all standard 17mm hex patterns, however the inner diameter will vary depending on which adapter you choose, i.e. 4mm thread, 5mm... etc and they are threaded all the way through the length of the hex so there is no limit to the options of which axles you need to fit.

      Bill, thank you for getting back to me so quickly and answering my poorly worded question. I currently have the large truggy toe gauge adapter and I am missing the smaller buggy one that came with the kit. I was needing to know how long that smaller one is from end to end. Thanks again!

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm measuring 253mm for the truggy toe adapter, 154mm for the buggy adapter and I made a custom 118mm adapter (using a paint mix stick) for my 1/10 buggies and ST's

    Have you found this system is accurate? I have read a lot of people having trouble getting reliable accurate readings from the integy setup system

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on how smooth your car is, I always use the same method by pressing the chassis flat and I get the same results when comparing cheap camber gauges... if someone drops their car with wheels on, of uses a different diameter tire, then yes you will get different readings... all that matters is using a consistent baseline, then you can make changes at the track to fine tune later. I only use this setup station for an initial build then I make changes with a fixed quick gauge tool at the track when adjusting ride height, etc... if you change ride height then you need to reset camber and so on.

    When are you setting ride height?

    • @billdelong
      @billdelong  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I check ride height every time I rebuild a car which is typically after every 3 race days.... I know hard core racers will check ride height after every round of racing, but my height settings almost never change between rebuilds. Ride height is also set before most other adjustments as height change will effect camber/toe. etc..

      Ele vem com adaptadores de 17 mm, de modo que a sincronização de camber deve funcionar, mas você pode ter que cortar uma barra de extensão personalizada para ajustar o dedo, usei um stick de mistura de tinta para encurtar o ajuste do dedo do pé para usar esta ferramenta para os meus carros 1/10
