I’m happy about this. It reminds me of the 2k19 days when you would make a build and you wouldn’t be able to do everything and every build had its unique advantages. Then they started to make all of these demi god builds and people with 50 three pointers were greening every time.
I’ve seen a build that can do everything it has 89 driving dunk, 78 three, 85 ball handle, 79 speed with ball’ 81 speed, 79 acceleration, but also has good defense with a 95 perimeter defense, 85 steal, and 82 block.
@@13mt10 I mean u get most badges on silver with clamps on god I just don’t think hof badges are worth it this year to much of a sacrifice. U still get the good badges just on silver

100% agreed. A lock is probably the best build to make at the beginning of the year. Just seems a little boring to play with a build who can only sit in the corner on offense lol
Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like the most logical thing to do would be to max out your physical attributes first seeing as A) most of your offense and defense attributes are gonna raise your physical attributes by force But Also B) seeing as your physical attributes take up the least amount of your overall as well That way all you’d have left is to spend your remaining attribute points on the areas you’d like to excel at in gameplay…
when you raise a physical attribute, you pay a part of your overall points that does not contribute to almost any badge. plus youre forcing stats up that you may not want. so maxing all the stats limits your build a lot.
I think Gold Glove and no anchor might be the move for pro am locks... but i understand park locks needing a paint stop Might open up the possibility to get better shooting badges like deadeye... I don't see a 75 3 ball lock greening a yellow contest dot every couple plays... and thats needed imo

I’m not investing 99 anything, especially not defense. Rather do 99 dunk than defense. They haven’t showed me they value perimeter or interior defense since 2k20. Rather stay around 90 for perimeter defense and spread the points somewhere else, maybe to shooting/finishing.

Not saying this is the case, but play the game at least for a day or 2 and see if the gameplay supports such a heavy investment. Maybe make something a little balanced that you can enjoy until you get a better understanding of how the game plays. Then, your second build can be the heavy investment.
Legit Finishing is not needed on a pure lock just enough to dunk the ball is fine and not go for clips. The perimeter D be the best option on 99 the steal can be lowered as never know how frequent they are and with that case can try and upgrade the rebound or something else in defence. The shooting is fine only meant to spot up in the wing or corners

How much does wingspan matter for lock? If I lower the wingspan 1 down from the max, I believe it gives better shooting better strength. Do you think the 1 extra inch would matter?
I feel like every team is gunna have a fast typical lock at the sf to take the pg and then a pf who has high dunk and strength for bulldozer and in turn immovable force as well who will guard whoever else that has high strength. They will just cancel each other out. The game seems very matchup dependent this year and will be all about getting a play off that switches the makn scorers onto the best matchup
Popper build fs seems like the way to go this year. Back in 2k20 no one knew how to guard an outside big when you’re not just sitting corner. Can’t wait to run this shit back 😈😈

IMO u dont need go as high as 99 rating in any category im order to be elite. Those attribute points costs so much when u go above 90-95. Last year i went with 92 per d and 95 steal and i was clamping everyone. Also, if you play with a squad you dont need anchor or block. Just.get some strength to be able to get cut off animations. If you get beat then its your C/PF job to rotate and defend the paint anyway. So unless u want to play park or solo, dont go for 99
I just know I’m gonna make a 2 way slashing play … elite play making and elite defense … first thing I always test is if you can green with a low 3 ball.
I’m just trying to play like Frobe/Demar play style. I’m just trying to play good defense, hit moving shots from the midrange and dunk. Don’t need no crazy dribble moves and just enough of a 3pt to be able to hit open. If I can build that I’m good. 🙌🏾

No matter the 2k a good lock on a team is always needed for them elite guards. Even when they nerf them locks are still needed. Imo they the most consistent build to make each year because the only thing they ever get nerfed on is pluck steals. Otherwise if you have good positioning and timing a lock always gonna get steals. At most a badge just might not be as op as it was previously. Like hof glove last year. Was brutal before the nerf but even after the nerf it was still good.
Meanwhile the bullshit you can do on offense NEVER gets fixed or patched and they just let niggas cheese all year. However they’ll nerf defense into the ground (the game will go downhill from there) just so dudes have to go make new builds.

Do you need to upgrade a certain attribute up to the required rating to be able to unlock a certain badge level for example do you need to get your steal upgraded to 99 to be able to unlock hof glove or can you still get to it with it still being on an 80 for example
In order to get HOF glove you need 99 steal. Each badge level has a rating requirement that is correlated with it and some badges need multiple ratings at a certain requirement. So a 98 steal would be gold glove cuz it doesn’t meet the HOF steal requirement.

This build can get 87 pass accuracy which is bronze bailout in 2k24 77 strength and 80 vert The trick that most people don’t know in this game, not even content creators know. 65 three ball gets u bronze corner. Then give yourself a 76 mid range which is way cheaper and u get all the silver badges u could ask for! Locks will go 73 driving dunk and 81 standing for bronze posterizer and silver precision dunker. THANK ME LATER WHEN U SAVE MONEY NOT MAKIN THESE TH-camRS BUILDS 😂

There no more badge tiers or badge points. You can equip whatever level of badge your attributes unlock.
