Camp Wedding in North Carolina Mountains // Catherine & Peter

- Catherine and Peter were married at camp. Not just any camp, but a camp started by her Great Grandfather in 1920. Catherine's family lives at the camp and works at the camp. So, it was a no brainer that they would get married there. It gave them the chance to invite all of their loved ones to experience camp and celebrate their wedding. The atmosphere was full of joy and giddiness from the moment we arrived on Friday. Of course, how could it not be ... you were at camp! Guests had the full camp experience including sleeping in bunk beds, lawn games and a picnic leading up to the wedding.
Friday night guests arrived to the rehearsal dinner BBQ wearing their camp name tags. The dinner was full of reminiscing, meeting new friends, hugging old ones, and heartfelt toasts. The night ended with much laughter as everyone learned to Contra dance and happily danced around the pavilion.
As the focus shifted from fellowship to Catherine and Peter's ceremony, the love and excitement between then lit up the whole place. Their ceremony was so peaceful and sweet. They hopped into a canoe following the ceremony and canoed across the lake to their reception. It was amazing! The dance floor at the reception was packed!! It was such a blast!
