well, it's 2020, I'm 20, and I found myself clicking through my watch list and stumbled across this video that I must have saved when I was 13. I used to love watching these videos to grow my style. Funny how life works out, I never dressed like this until I was roughly 17 haha, but I sure tried to be this cute at 13. thanks for the trip down memory lane :)
hi same here I’m almost 23 now (2023) and I wanna start dressing like this again to feel happier and make my 13yo self happy. Now I have the money and apps to buy whatever I want from this era. Back then I was reliant on my parent’s money and what clothing stores in my hometown were selling. I miss this time so much. What’s kinda sad is that I feel like I’m too “adult” to wear some of these outfits now because it’s fun to wear them to high school but wearing them to college or work feels uncomfortable. But oh well whatever at the end of the day we should wear what we want. I’m just relieved there are people revisiting these videos still, like me. Makes me feel less alone ☺️💕

Dress codes are good because think about it .... the whole school being ugly and ghetto so much girls wearing nasty clothing no colleges or high schools would wanna accept you at all later on in life

i dont understand why every single video for back to school outfits i click on are so unrealistic.. if i could wear stuff like this to school i would die of happiness, but thats not the case bc theres dress codes.
What country do you live in? Because in America we don't really have dress codes.
Just alter the outfits to be more realistic for your school's dress code. The only things about her outfits that are against my school's dress code are that the skirts are a tad too short and we can't wear spaghetti straps without something over it. If you wear a plain tank top, the straps need to be one inch.

it really just depends on where you live ... like i used to live in south carolina and we could wear tank tops if the straps were at least 3 fingers && skirts && such had to be finger tip length ... but now i live in hawaii && there we can wear shorts && croptops but tank tops are dress code which i dont get ... but yeah .

this was literally the video that got me psyched for school
I cant wear any of that. School dresscode u cant show your stomach .shoulders can't be seen. And your knees cabt ahow if u have a hole in your jeans above your knees you will get sent home at my school . I cant find anything in stores anymore wirh it being okay with the dress code. :/
Also you can't wear nerd glasses and you cant dye your hair and rainbow or unusual hair colors:/
We are aloud to do any of that except show our stomach but we can dye our hair

Before I went to college, I went to a school with uniforms and your skirt can't be two fingers above your knee, you need to wear white socks that cover your ankles and white shoes. Hair must not be dyed and tied up at all times with only black hair ties. No nail polish is allowed and no accessories at all. But it's pretty fun to wear a uniform so there's no competition between students.
And the other reason why it is nice, is because you don't have to pick an outfit or worry about it 😁, but some of those rules you had are pritty strict, like no nailpolish :p or the rubberband and socks. :/

You don't appreciate it now, but when you get older you'll understand how much time this saves you!!! There are kids that can't afford to come each day with a different outfit. In elementary school and mid school we had a very strict uniform (no make up, no beard for the boys etc.) In high school it got better. We only had color restrictions. We were only allowed to wear navy blue, black, white and gray (on top) an jeans on bottom... I know this sound really bad :P But once I got in university, I sped lots and lots of time figuring out what to wear each day!
kat ch my school doesnt have a uniform as much as a dress code. shorts down to your middle finger, no crop tops, no tight skirts,etc. its really annoying especially the crop top part cuz you cant show any of your stomach not even less than an inch
chloee dabroski Well in school you are really not supposed to show your stomach. We had a quite strict uniform. After school you can wear whatever you want.

My school has no dress code, I like to dress conservative but my friends literally have nO clothes on it quite disturbing.

My schools dress code
Girls no shorts higher than your finger tips, when u put ur arm against ur leg, the skirt or short has to reach the ends of your finger tips
No crop tops, or tops showing the stomach
Boys no wearing shirts that have no sleeves, like muscle tops or whatever you call them

In England we have to wear uniforms and if our skirts are a live our knees we get a detention that night we can't wear dresses! And jeans or legging cannot be used as pants our hair has to be a natural colour we cannot wear colourful accessories and we have to wear black she's they cannot have laces and we can't wear boots unless we are wearing pants our pants cannot be tight either out shirts have to be tucked in and our black blazers aren't aloud to be taken off so every one is sweating Ahhh it's awful it really is >_< !!

That sucks! I'm from Canada and all I have to obey is no spaghetti straps if they show your bra strap, and shorts have to be down to where your finger tips are if you put your hand straight down. And usually teachers don't even care.

When I was in sixth grade I went to school with a really strict dress code, you can't show your feet or knees or chest or shoulders and weary thing has to be navy blue, black, grey, or kaki and we had these HORRIBLE school shirts that didn't fit and could only wear the school jacket that was ugly and couldn't wear anything tight except for like skinny jeans but no leggings or tight skirts
