I type everything in GoogleDocs since I've been using it for so long and it's easier for me, so I just copy and paste to Word and fix whatever didn't translate well, but this is still good to know and actually cleared up some confusions I had, thanks.
I watched this video as it is one of the most recent. I purchased Word just yesterday, and followed your instructions, which were good except for the page numbers. When it came to that, I didn't have the same screens open up. I guessed as best I could but now that I'm at page 2 of my project, it says 1 just as page one does. Help?
Could NOT get header box to appear in order to set it using a Free version of Word365. Admittedly, I’m not tech literate. Using an HP laptop, not a PC . Apparently things have changed a bit since 2021.

If you are using an hp laptop it should be the same as a PC but google search for how to do it on your version of Word.
What to do about work cited if you have written everything by yourself
I do not have ""normal" as an option under the "margins".
so i cant seem to find line and paragraph spacing...i think i have a different version of microsoft 365...any hints
I know its months later but try under home the last tab should be three dots with a drop down menu. That should have the spacing options.
