It's a powerful thing that Maurice described Phillip as his brother. So you see for a King of men like Maurice getting out his powerful messages to uplift those those in need of spiritual and educational upliftment was more important than individual success.
I had the privilege of spending time with Mr. "MO" White at The Sony Music Studio in Santa Monica CA. back in the early 90's assisting Mr. White on behalf of Sony/Columbia Records. Mr. "MO" White assisted I call him "MO" handed Me The DAT Tape of The Greatest Cobollation Album in 1992 to Secure It then give it to the Currier when he arrived and was cleared by the security. I'm a child of the '60s and the '70s now I've been playing Guitar for over forty plus years and I have MO White and Every Member of EWF since the 1970s to Thank for it.

I really don't label EWF, even though their music is firmly rooted in the Afro-Cuban tradition: they do it all so moving and spectacular. See them before we lose "the voice," Phillip Bailey. It took me 5 years to convince friends to come to a show. Now we bring 5 or 6 and show the youngsters how to bump it right!
I'm in my early 20's, and I forced my friends to an EWF show a few weeks ago. Some guys were missing (RIP), and they don't groove like they used to, but it was still killer. One of my friends never even bumped EWF but he sure does now

I seen the Kennedy award ceremony, all the decades came washing over me with great feelings of love, respect 🙏, Harmonie, and musicianship! Over loads of love for each member! There will NEVER be another band that brought so much joy, Maurice message came true!! We all feel it when we jamm those albums, C.D's ! Greatful I was alive to witness, EARTH, WIND, & FIRE!! 4ever! Kennedy Center Honors showcased how Wonderful and Beautiful the brilliant songs and performances of the Grestest Band of recorded history. The program also shown how Earth, Wind and Fire was a great favorite of many of the most powerful people on earth. They live in the heart of Everyone.
I really don't label EWF, even though their music is firmly rooted in the Afro-Cuban tradition: they do it all so moving and spectacular. See them before we lose "the voice," Phillip Bailey.
It took me 5 years to convince friends to come to a show. Now we bring 5 or 6 and show the youngsters how to bump it right!
I'm in my early 20's, and I forced my friends to an EWF show a few weeks ago. Some guys were missing (RIP), and they don't groove like they used to, but it was still killer. One of my friends never even bumped EWF but he sure does now
