That's a GREAT IDEA for a starter project! 👍 I was going to "attempt" a bracelet for my first Viking Knit piece but I like your idea better for a first time VK jewelry piece. I'll add some of my beads and/or baubles to make the style mine. I like quick results so thanks for the idea! 👍😃

Thanks so much! I've been watching your videos ALL AFTERNOON and ALL EVENING. This is really great stuff! 👍😃 I became so inspired that I FINALLY ordered a set of 2 Bead Smith Draw Plates to be delivered tomorrow. I hope they are made of good quality plastic because I read mixed reviews. I really like the looks of the Rose Wood draw plates but the one I ordered will give me 33 holes to choose from so hopefully it will be a good starter plate and later, if necessary, I can buy or make a wooden one from hard wood as you suggested in a previous video I saw. Thanks again so much for your wonderful tips and tutorials.❤️❤️❤️ Have a great day!😊

Thank you for this video, I did Viking weave years ago, but had forgot how and had even lost my tool. After watching this, I think I can pick it up again.

🙋🏼‍♀️Question please❤️? When you are doing a double weave ***do you add new wire in the *same place and the *same way as you do a single weave as shown in this video? OR DO I go up two loops?? I did two double weave bracelets and I seem to be making mistakes where I’m adding the new wire! Your help would be amazing and greatly appreciated thank you very much!❤️💁‍♀️

HI! so when you add wire add the new piece where the old wire is coming out. SO for a double viking weave your old wire is coming out of the second row up and thats where you add the new wire. I hope that makes sense.

I love your tutorials. I was really struggling with this until I found you. Can you tell me if there is any rule about how many loops to have to start with? Any advantage to making odd number of loops? Have you ever tried having many more loops, like 12 as opposed to 7? I am trying to make very fine, but dense forms for bracelets and rings.

Hi! Im glad you found the tutorial helpful. Viking weave is fun to experiment with. I make samples of different sized dowels with different gauge wire and different numbers of loops. You can do odd number of loops for sure. Ive never done 12 loops! if you want a more dense weave i would either do a smaller dowel rod so the loops are closer together to start with or have you seen my double viking weave video? Double viking weave is my favorite and is a much denser weave.
