I have a small map gas torch that I've used to play around with making copper rings, I really don't use it often but still.. Somehow, months later it's still going... The mysteries of gas
You’ll always be one of my favorites!
The whole process looks insane, but you kept at it and came out with an EPIC AWESOME piece!
That's so cool 😎
Cool!

@@JewelrymakingwithKatie thanks 👍
This is awesome!
Thank you so much! <3
Very Beautiful pieces. Love them all.
Thank you! :D
I spent my whole life thinking it was like a resin paint that had to be cured 😂 this is fascinating.
So simple!😁😁😁 It’s really cool! Beautiful!
Thank you so much! oh yes the easiest thing in the world ;)
There's also liquid enamel, isn't there? I feel like I've seen someone paint jewelry with liquid enamel and then use an attachment on a drill to spin off excess enamel before firing in a kiln or is she using something like enamel?
There are many types of enamel which unfortunately makes things confusing! Im using glass enamel that is torch fired but i could also kiln fire it. Glass enamel also comes in liquid form that is then fired. And there are also paint enamels that are not glass and resin enamels as well!
Back age from the mic
When he was being fired, he turned into doomsday plankton.
lol YES!!!
I wanted to start powder enamelling as a hobby. You've made it look so easy. I was going to start with cold enamels, but I'll stay with powder afterall
Lovely❤
Looks prettier on fine silver!!😊
That’s so cool! I always wondered what enamel actually was!
get a pop filter, looks awesome though
Hope you are wearing a respirator when working with this stuff (:
nice video, I was wondering how long the wax took to cure?
Not too long, i put it in the fridge to harden faster, id say less than 30 min.
Looks great🙂↔️
Thank you!
What type of Flux Paste do you use for Soldering Brass?
I use spray flux, i use Aquiflux when soldering brass, copper, sterling silver
Thank you I am grateful for this 😊❤️🙏
Thank you for this. My biggest struggle is figuring out what beads to use and the layout. I'm brand new to beading. It all started because I wanted to make a bracelet for a friend. Just to do something nice for her. Now I'm in deep. Lol
Great video. Thank you! I just bought the 4" digital caliper from Harbor Freight for $20. And the jumbo helping hands manifying glass with light. I love that store. 😊
Nice! i love the calipers from Harbor freight :)
I would braze it using a brass filler rod and oxy acetylene torch, not too much heat. Just be sure to prepare the joint with a bevel. Sand it and blend it in when finished
You mean as a better alternative? Why would you do this method over hers? Just asking as someone who just bought a soldering iron to solder with brass and copper and is scared of torches. lol
If its to hard to get off the dowl rod treat it like a chinese finger trap, compress it from both ends to losen it. Thaks for the tutorial.
You’re a really good teacher

I have had a dapping set from Harbor Freight for 5+ years. Works great! Fair warning the outside edges of the bowls are still a little "right angle." I suggest polishing the edges, as needed.
Thank you for this! I really appreciate your reviews. You really did a great job!!!
Thank you!
This is so cute & simple! Thx
Nice!!!
Very, very good! Where to buy bead smith? By what name is he known?
WoW! Excellent tutorial! I did this years ago & forgot how to...Now I can do it again. Thanks
I can’t believe my eyes ~Amazing and your tutorial is incredible. Thank you 😊
lol
Thank you sososososo much for this extremely helpful video. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate it. You've done a ton of gorgeous samples and I super appreciate that you are sharing this with your fellow jewelers.
This is amazing. Thank you so much. I was going to go to a festival where they had a demo of this, but I got more out of watching your video. I can’t wait to go get the materials to give this a try. Thank you!!
Hi Katie New Subscriber here. I think this tutorial was wonderful and I can't wait to try this. Can you tell me what kind of scissors you used? Thanks
They are "pro shears" from euro tool. but honestly ive found Bonzi cutting or basket weaving shears also work. metal tins like the ones used in the video are thin enough any metal cutting shears would work :D But there are several sellers on etsy who sell these exact ones if you search for -pro shears :D
@@JewelrymakingwithKatie Thank you so very much Kate xo
Thanks for the ideas to keep our bails from slipping. Cool tools in Wisconsin has a huge supply of templates. I use them for earrings.
Wow! Lovely pendants and quite smart bails. Thank you so much for sharing!
I LOVE your teaching style! These earrings are super cute!
