- I drove to Jacksonville on the weekend to test drive the Tesla Model 3 "Highland" refresh and brought Kaye to test drive the Model Y. I ended up driving the Model 3 to the Tesla Service center to check out the Cybertruck for the first time.

Good to watch new user trying out a new car. I guess sometimes you do need to read the manual.
Or just watch one of the thousands of videos on TH-cam doing full walkthroughs.
they are button on top where you can shift but didnt realize he put the key card in wrong spot and finally got that correct
one suggestion, mics
I have mics, but I couldn't get one to pair properly, so the sound turned into a pretty huge nightmare. Apologies, we'll try to get that sorted out before the next one.
Put big end of bass in first … towards front seat.
That's an idea. We're supposed to go check out a different EV this weekend, so we'll bring a measuring tape to see if this is possible.
Kaye needs a lightning!
Unfortunately, the bed depth is only 22 inches, so her bass couldn't fit on its side with a tonneau (which she would need).
That FBI building though 😳
How quick do you think it would take you to get used to the new turn signals?
I think it would take a few days of city driving, at least. And I doubt I or anyone could ever use them as well as signals on a stalk.
Tallahassee has demo drives, why did you go to Jacksonville?
I saw that as I was making my appt, but I also wanted to see the Cybertruck in person, as well as go on a little road trip.
They broke the Model 3. I have a 2019 which is great. I test drove the new 3 this weekend. The lack of stalks is a deal breaker. Parking is painful because you have to move your hand and eyes to the screen when you change directions. The turn signals are tiny buttons, not nearly as easy to use as a stalk. The voice command now is on its own button rather than pressing the roller ball. Its a lot easier to find the roller ball by feel then it is to find a tiny button. The icing on the cake are the new seats, much worse than the old seats. No padding at all, feels like a park bench.
Anyone looking for a Tesla should buy a Y now before they wreak that one too. The Y still has stalks and comfortable seats.
BTW the S is worse. All of the problems of the new 3 plus they put the visualization on the drivers display instead of the main display. You can't see the drivers display because the wheel blocks it.
I hear you about the stalks. I found the signal buttons a little quicker after 20 minutes or so, but yeah, I don't know why they insist on fixing things that aren't broken.
Personally, I liked the seats. The cooling is a huge improvement to me, but seat comfort can be very subjective, so I can understand if you find them uncomfortable.
@@DriveElectricWithDomenick I get why you would appreciate cooling because you are in FL. I live in MA so heated seats matter, which my 2019 has, but cooling is a don't care. I found the seats painfully hard, didn't you find them harder than your 2018?
@joshuarosen465 I didn't notice them being harder, really. Maybe I didn't focus on them enough.
I've really enjoyed the seats in the 2018, though, so I understand why you like them.
The people that make the S3XY buttons are going to offer an aftermarket set of stalks for the new Tesla models that don’t have them.
@@libertykrueger1433 That's good news.
