Jean update March 2019

- My sister Jean Millington with her grandson Cillian, who's not only sharing her breakfast, but it looks like he's getting his dance moves on! And ~ Jean rockin' it going up the ramp unassisted! This is an update to add to her stroke recovery fundraiser www.gofundme.com/jean-millington-go, and considering that a year ago her entire right side was compromised, with all our help she's on somewhat of a a miracle path to playing bass again!
Some of you may know her as the bassist/singer in the band Fanny, which started out when we were attending McClatchy High in Sacramento, about 4 years after arriving from Manila. It's been quite a journey, and I'm looking forward to a lot more.

Few weeks ago, I read a Yahoo News article about an all female Band being recognized after 50 years. That's when I learned about Fanny. You Tube provided me with the information about the Band which I never had while I was in my teens and twentyish years. Ladies, you are all superlatives; ahead of your time. I love you all! And to Jean, wishing for your fast and full recovery. Couldn't wait to see those educated and efficient fingers placement on the bass fretboard gain. Ed Mendoza

You and Jean are rock royalty. It's unfortunate that Fanny was way ahead of it's time. I recently discovered Fanny a few months ago and you have a new fan. I can't believe the talent you four (June, Jean, Alice and Nicky) ladies possess. Thank you for the music and continue to rock on!!!

I am glad to see that Jean is doing so well. Old age does suck (I'm 68). I recently purchased all 4 Fanny CD's and I am Rocking to them every day. Stay strong, Jean. You and June are Rock and Roll legends.
Hello Jean. Hope you are faring better. To my big shame, I learnt more about Fanny just a year ago, but I put you guys on follow on Spotify because you inspire my own music at the moment just as much as my other heroes, the Beatles . I heard from Alice de Buhr about your stroke last year: very sorry to hear about that, lots of love from a Dutch musician.
Omg Jean! My prayers and love are with you! And everyone! Ironically I just found Fanny myself today! I'm 62 yrs old and cannot believe I missed out on all those years of hearing some of the best kick ass phenomenal rock music from an all girl band to top everything until today! I found you quite by accident as I was looking at the promo's for "The Stadium Tour" this summer featuring my all time favorite male band, Motley Crüe, when I felt like hearing some Joan Jett that will be playing with them as well. (Also Def Leppard & Poison) I was in the mood for Cherry bomb when I saw a video you all did with the name Fanny above it and I literally freaked out. I'm so sorry about the stroke but I pray in some way that I'll get to meet you all before we all go off to dance among the Heavens! Please continue to strive for your healing and full recovery. Looks like Jean is making progress! That’s great news for all of us who loved Fanny back in the day. Maybe she can start wailing on that bass again soon… Best wishes and I know that physical therapy takes time...NEVER GIVE UP!!

I am a huge fan of yours. I'm a fellow Filipino bassist. If bass playing is our family, you're definitely my coolest grandmother whom I'd request to play me a bassline rather than lullabies.
You're in my top favorite bassists, I heard the sad news but I'm happy to continously hear Fanny's rock and roll sound. I'm happy to see this video of you on your way to recovery. I believe you deserve the title of Queen of Rock Bass, no offense to other female bassists but youre much different and golden.
