this anime's never been one of those complex, complicated story tho. It's a simple power fantasy anime, but what the fans love about the story is because each action sequence gets more hype and hype. SL manhwa readers always hyping this up because it's the perfect simple yet well-rounded power fantasy story: easy to digest, not too wordy/lengthy, great artstyle & color, a total eye candy. It has a LOT of potentials for the side characters & world-building to be as complex as typical shonen or other stories like Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint & The Beginning After The End, but since the title itself is already self-explanatory, so it's all is forgiven to most fans. thank you for giving this show a chance, hope you don't waste your time here and enjoy your fav show 😁👌
@@sandalswoody That’s exactly my issue with it. There isn’t anything “new” or super unique from the show. And what we do get is predictability. Granted it’s enjoyable, so therefore it’s not bad, but there isn’t much else to it. No character development/attachment to side characters (unless you count being fodder) and no true story behind the scenes. It’s a very in the nose story with no deeper meaning other than pure power fantasy. Henceforth, it isn’t peak like some people are hyping it up to be. Im not saying it’s bad, but when people compare this to shows like Vinland Saga, or AOT in terms of quality, I get confused.
@@Darkri56789 it's simply not up to your taste, so that's okay. I'd say SL is a peak-mid if we have to compare it with typical shonen tho, since this is just a fun, hype show. At least SL is now a new choice for those who wants a short break from complex & complicated shonen. Again, since the story is faithful to the title which clearly just focusing on the main protagonist, some would find this unsatisfactory indeed. I might be one of SL fans who can easily come to terms with it. And I agree, it's definitely a stretch from VS or AOT in terms of overall story quality for people who are used to watch a heavy world-building anime. Maybe some fans just being too defendant about it, but I personally still think SL is currently the best for a simple power fantasy show. hopefully it's gonna run smoothly for A-1 since there are upcoming new anime this year and it may be more solid than SL lol 🤞
@@Darkri56789you are missing point. the power fantasy in this story is what people latch on to and enjoy and no other story really nails it like solo leveling. i agree the anime takes time to get going but saying it doesnt do anything unique means you are probably anime only. you dont know the story. 👍🏻
