Got this for a Christmas gift today, and it's absolutely beautiful, besides Psalm 42 with the deer, I love the photographs for Psalms 23 and 139, with its sheep in a grassy valley and the beautiful sunset heavens. ✝ 👼🛐⛪🐑

It’s a perfect gift to introduce someone to scripture who might not otherwise open a bible you gift them

Wasn’t sure I would like this but after watching your review Tim, I’ve changed my mind. The imagery added to the Psalms really is special. So reasonably priced too .

I’ve been looking forward to the release of this for a while and it’s great to actually see it via your unboxing. The images look stunning! There is definitely something about having the the Psalms rather than going into a Bible every time. I have a couple of psalters, both ESV and one of them is a devotional Psalter. After each Psalm there a a devotional that helps you understand the context of that Psalm and how you can apply it to life. Very encouraging. Great job Tim and thanks for all the great content. I this one is going to be on order very soon!

First off… You SO need to add that box hitting the camera as the end of all of you videos! I’m an artist that went to photography school. That will be on my coffee table , Lord willing, very soon! Thanks for reviewing Tim! God bless. 👍🙏🏻🤗

What kind of images do they use for the imprecatory Psalms? I am seriously asking.

    • @timwildsmith

Everything is images from nature in Ireland. Nothing stormy or anything like that.

Would love to see you compare it to Psalms from Alabaster. I’d be curious to know your thoughts.

This looks great, I might get one. On a different note, do you know a good place to buy used bibles, premium or otherwise?

I always suggest FB groups like The Bible Exchange and Everything Bibles.

I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this. But, to whom can I give it? What a magnificant book.

I always wish these kinds of picture books had imagery that reflects the world of the writers. Don't get me wrong, places like Ireland and that Northern Europe are incredibly beautiful and some of my favorite places in the world. Yet, these are not the worlds of the writers. Nor are they the worlds of most people alive today that would read this book. I want to be lead to see the beauty of God in the things that are seemingly not as beautiful as say Ireland. I think that's what a lot of the Psalms are trying to do as well.
That said, this is not a bash on this book. It looks incredible
