Why do every great american film maker have to end their carreer with some pretentious bs? This is what only having yes men around you look like maybe?
Or maybe it's just a movie that most people don't get? When you get to become a professional/veteran storyteller, you tend to go for the stories with more thematic meat around them (at least more meat than junk food)?
Not saying Hollywood DOESN'T have its fair share of pretentious bs, just that not every movie is for everyone (some movies want to tackle philosophical issues, other just want to be fun)- something the "industry" (and by extension, its audience) understood a decade ago.
I'm supporting this movie. Even if it flops it will be an important talking point about the world in the future.
Ironic you saying it will be a good “talking point”, not that it would make a good topic for conversational. Subconsciously you know that people don’t listen to each…there is no such thing as conversation anymore. They only want to read talking points and choose from a bulleted list without question. How telling…and how sad.

Will someone please put a stop to casting Adam Driver? They guy's a terrible actor. He takes all roles with a seriousness that impedes the immersion in the actual role. He's literally acting that he's acting all the while listening to the masturbatory little voice in his head "Oh, I'm such a good actor, look at me I'm acting, I'm soooo acting"
If he bugs you so much, just skip the stuff he's in? :/
