This is still relevant: I:What moved in your head when 1-0 goal came? At least legs went up. KT:Well yeah, i knew this morning that if we take the lead and we are so good team defensively and then kane scored the second one i knew that this was our game. This has been so amazing team... It has been great 17 years in here and lot of fine and hard memories but topmost i feel happy and relieved and.. from this game we walk away as a stanley cup winners and i finish my career. I: What kind of emotional rollercoaster you went through after the game? This year you've been having health issues and this role has been frustrating for you as has been discussed million times, what kind of feelings you go through? KT: Well the emotions after the tampa bay was really something else, so i had to struggle to keep myself focused. this has been... if we start from the summer, this has been quite some journey and i can't really articulate what kind of stuff i have been through and then it ends in this celebration... I can only thank everyone, thanks to home and my parents and my brother, my friends and my family of course they had to go through a lot too, my wife alone at home with our kids to them huge thank you. now dad can come home and there is no more hockey I: There were a lot of feeling in those hugs between you and your family back there KT: Yeah my wife has been through a lot of suffering so that i can stand here right now, so that shone through there and will shine also after this I: You were second to get the trophy after toews, how did it feel to raise the famous and desired cup over your head? KT: Well he (toews) told me on the morning ice that if we win, be ready, i will give it to you first. Even then i already almost had tears in my eyes. I asked him if he was serious and he said that yeah you deserved it and everyone knows the struggle i've been through this year and it's been a long road but hockeywise it was greatest memory i ever had and and... My head feels so empty that i cant really tell you anything. I: Old fox appreciated the gesture? KT: Yeah. The respect is mutual. He is such a player, captain and human being that any team he was in would be successful. He leads the team in his own way and everyone follows what he does, but yeah, it was an amazing moment in my life. I:This is the craziest crowd i've ever seen, how does that feel from the perspective of a player? KT: You get shivers down your spine during the national anthem and especially during the end when it started to seem like the game is ours. I think i was more scared than the fans but. The third period when i sat on the bench alot, i went through a lot of thoughts and had to try to hold myself together. I: What went through your mind in that moment? KT: Well all the things that led me here. During the summer my life wasn't in my hands anymore and i'm lucky it all turned out for the best. We had to do a lot of work to get in this team and my family had to suffer during that time by being in philly for many months. this has been a long year and hockey overall.. it has given me so much but it also has taken a lot of sacrifices too. I: Last question; third cup in six years for this city. What makes this team so special? KT: It's the core group. 8-10 guys who have been in this for years. They are so great guys and players. The way they prepare for the games. Many teams could learn from that. They are always on top of the game. That's where the speciality comes.

Pakko sanoa, että tippa tuli silmäkulmaan, kun luin uutisista Chicagon voittaneen Stanley Cupin. Kuva, jossa Kimmo pitää pokaalia päänsä yläpuolella on ehdottomasti yksi vuoden 2015 kovimpia urheilukuvia.
Toews on ehkä kunnioituin pelaaja, arvostaa uraansa, minkä haluaa itsenkin tehdä, tuski Kimmo Timonen oli uusi nimi alunperinkään... Tiedä mitä kunnioutusta Timosta kohtaan oli, mutta tällei päätetään hienon savolaesen ura.

Jos Teuvo Teräväinen voittaa stanley cupin Carolinassa ei ole vaikea arvata kumpaa hän arvostaa enemmän: Black Hawksin stanley cup sormusta, jonka sai uransa alussa vai sitä voittoa, joka tulee Hurricanesissa vuosien työn tuloksena, jos tulee.
