Nice vid! I remember seeing this from Alpha Beta Game, there are many gems hidden out there just like this one. Would really hope that you may do some investigations on good’ol flash games in the future, it’s a forgotten goldmine.
what kinda is missing for me from this video is ... whats the innovative part is it juts a 2-jump limit platformer? how is that used, whats so cool about it
The game is only sold on a specific site? Well that explains why it went unnoticed! It looks cool and I wanted to play it on my Steam Deck. But I’m not gonna go through all that trouble. The developer really needs to lower the barrier to entry if they want their games to succeed.
I do. But this game looks perfect for the Steam Deck. I work at a desk all day so I try to avoid sitting at another desk when gaming unless it’s a very demanding game that justifies a desktop PC.
@@chekote Listing games on Steam starts at $100, listing games on Itch is free. That's why a lot of hobby projects you've never heard of end up on Itch, the good news is so long as the game is compiled for linux, Itch games tend to be the easiest games to add to your Steam library once you learn how to do it, I've added Celeste and Buckshot Roulette this way in the past. Much easier than GOG or other launchers I've hit my head against at least (and GOG isn't even too bad compared to some).
@Daldameht alpha beta gamer, northernlion played it too This game is widely known as a fantadtic game its very funny that you didnt even consifer looking at who covered it on youtube lol
Wouldn't call it an essay... Quality of video is really nice, but I feel it's lacking something... Would love if you'd say something more about the game - especially as a speedrunner, you most likely know more about the gimmicks.
I thought the story surrounding the game was slightly more interesting. Given how the game is just a level crawler, there is not too much interest or nuance in the mechanics, besides the interesting idea of breaking legs after jumping. I just felt I can do more with story rather than mechanics, but makes sense

too many words, it should be legbreaker: weannovatindamennoticed
thanks for the correction. English is my second language
Wonderful video. Its rare to find quality like this especially from small channels. Keep at it!
I'll attempt to do something of that nature. Thanks
i didnt expect this video to be as good as it was ngl
thank you for have no expectations of me

@@Daldameht Yeah, do what you like man, digging Ludum Dare(and other gamejam) gems can also be pretty interesting to watch.

you just said it
And here I was hoping someone finally made a half decent jiujitsu game. Cool premise though!
Be the change you want to see. Bet you can make a half decent game
Great vid, love an obscure No Country reference 😆
I'm actively striving to include more obscure references in future video essays, so thanks for noticing
This video is very interesting. Congrats!
Thank you very much
awesome video
Really nice vid
I think it would've sold really well on Steam
True true

It is on a semi-popular site on PC. Im sure you have a PC, then you can play it

@@chekote good idea limiting desk amount. Hopefully it gets steam deck support

Nice video, cool tip: get a pop filter on your microphone :)
I had one but got rid of it. I intend to only be received raw and unfiltered, like a good cigarette

Sorry, it was only cool to subscribe to this channel before it existed.
make your videos longer make some money bro
Nah, I only speak when I have something to say and my channel is no where close to being monetizable
