Soul train dancers are legends
"Sally from tha Valley!" I met her at Poppers Picnic she was sooo nice i mimicked her dance when i seen her she laughed. I danced in SoulTrain back 1998 It was cool just to be on the set!!!! Hey i just seen OG "Dapper girls" from Westchester hi. doing "the snake" they're b.n.a "The Good Girls"
When i was a little Asian girl i grew up in soul train, Motown, r&b etc. To be able to see her and the other lady with the long hair… I thought I was the baddest at all my school dances 🤣🤣🤣 I still be feeling myself until this day.
God bless you! This is so important. Feel yourself even more❤❤❤
I remember her. She was gorgeous. She got to do something that lots of people would have loved to do. Great lifetime memories for her.
Sally, if you read these comments, know that your efforts and intent to dance sexy worked very well for this freshman in high school who had the biggest crush on you in the late 80s and early 90s! I would tune in and even record episodes on my VCR. It’s very surreal to reminisce and watch you on TH-cam over 30 years later!
She was one of the prettiest on Soul Train!
This woman is still beautiful after all those years
I could watch Sally for hours dancing. She's amazing and so talented.
I wonder whatever happened to the girl that played her for a ride to the audition 😂
me too!!
Me top🤣🤣
we'll never know lol 🤷🏾♀️
Still at the gate still trying to get back in...
That was cold blooded. But whoever that girl was got her karma pretty quick because Sally did get in and she became a star dancer almost immediately.
Sally looked fine as hell back then and still looks good now
Happiness keeps you young forever. I’m only 26, but I see these soul train dancers and they look so happy… idk how to put it, like the skin is glowing, the eyes…
I wanna see Rosie Perez too..... She was also wonderful :-)
I Agree with her i want Rosie Perez.
@@clarencesimmons8580 Rosie Perez? I though she already had one....
Lol he probably wants to get paid for her interview
@@1990758 she not he
@@arushilovesmusic same difference
This was before the internet.....facebook..tick tok...instagram...twitter... Pure innocence..... Great times!!!
Woah, she still looks INCREDIBLE! I remember her. I’m 40, so Soul Train was something I grew up watching as a youngin. The talent 👏🏽
Toney Briggs is mentioned on every episode and he’s from my hometown. Great Designer❤️
I never missed SOUL TRAIN.. I will forever relive those memories in my head. As for the girl that ditched her at the door, she just used her for a ride... WITCH! I'm curious how the witch acted when she saw her up in there... ON HER OWN...lol
She is beautiful and pretty back then and even more beautiful and pretty and attractive now , as she has gotten older.
Another of my favorites, Sally from The Valley
Why did people call her Sally from The Valley?
@@marlonharrison5511 first name Sally and she lived in the valley. It's a Cali term for certain cities in that region. Like San Fernando Valley, etc
@@gritzgravy1760 Thank you. I'm not from Cali so I don't know a lot stuff like that.
@@marlonharrison5511 it's cool because had I not lived there as a child, I wouldn't have known either
I WISH WITH ALL MY HEART I COULD'VE BEEN PART OF THIS ERA!❤️
It was great
@@1990758 yes it was
I loved that era and used to tape all those episodes!
It was a great time. Before Gangsta Rap came in and messed everything up. Soul Train was like an institution. Every Black person I ever knew was watching Soul Train on Saturday.
@@dxwallace55 yezzzzz
I used to watch Soul Train every weekend and I remember seeing Sally all the time..she had a presence that made her stand out! Watching this now, I am reminded of how good of a dancer she was! 💯
She still fine as wine!!! Ooowwhhee!!
She was great! They need to interview that dude with the perm that looked like Jerome from Martin and the dude that use to dance with the basketballs. He may be still doing street performances in the Santa Monica promenade. They need to really interview Eric Kassem. He was a Soul Train Dancer. Then he use to teach at the Soul Train dance school on La Cienega near Sunset blvd. Then he became the shows dance talent scout. Real kool brother. Looked like George Johnson from "The Brothers Johnson" with the glasses. Sold me my first set of Technique 1200 Turntables with needles for $600.00 cash. I still use those joints!
Soul Train was a must see, everyone would talk about did see Soul Trail last Saturday, it was good to see this Interview with Sally Anchenbach, and to finally to get to know her name.
Sally from the Valley🙌🏾🥰. I love these mini documentaries.
glad you like it!
Oh man I remember Sally. Love this era of Soul Train. Junior high to High school
Sally's outfits🔥🔥🔥🔥
She’s incredibly down to earth, way more humble than I could ever be! Wow and she genuinely wanted to dance, I bet she was popular! I wonder what she did for work since she didn’t get paid?
Sally from the Valley! 😱👏🏿👏🏿😎...Loved her dancing and her unique style!
Such grace and elegance. Classy lady that you marry
