      In America, it's standard for margins to be 1 inch on most, if not all, documents. Using 2.54 cm just makes no sense for an American writing a document meant to be circulated in America.

    I’m so glad I remembered this channel. You got me into arch-linux as a teen. Your installation tutorials and vim-tutorials were very useful.

    I wish you still hosted the .tex file. But thanks for this great tutorial.
    Despite the propaganda, I still use emacs (with evil bindings tho), which complicated my first LaTeX attempt a bit.
    I basically am in the exact same cituation as your promise: org-mode exports headings, subheadings and subsub headings with some nested lists in between, and I try to write a .tex file that formats those into a nice document.
    90% of the formating came from your LaTeX series.Every other source has been more or less pain on top of unapplicable advice.
    Wish you had covered xcolor tho. Took me a while to get a hang on defining colors as
    enew command for the tittle.

    Luke, you video is awesome! It really helped to build my résumé beautifully :) The only problem I'm facing is to define the format of the textbody that comes after the subsection title, like you typed in Work Flow: "vim, tmux or a titling window manager (...)". How do I change the line spacing and the distance from the margin of this text?

    Can some explain me why should I spend time learning these things if I can open libreoffice and acomplish pretty much the same thing with a few clicks. Sorry do not take offensive my commentary, I just want to justify the time learning these things in my head

      Latex gives you significantly more control, and when you are used to it is actually faster than libreoffice.

      LaTeX is great for other things like writing papers or books. Some of its advantages is equation rendering and word spacing that uses a great algorithm to optimize the way lines look. You can also use an already made template to write a CV too. But editing a CV as he is doing here is inefficient, you are better off with LibreOffice.

      Since everything in it is clear text, you can easily manipulate/grep/automate many things afterwards, and you'll see exactly how everything works, so it's more transparent than libreoffice, where many things are up to the software to deal with and may cause misalignment/bad structure

    Hi! What should I do if I want to right align the text next to the \subsubsection? I like the look of the runin option, but I would like to see how my document looks if the text body/paragraph after the headers are nicely aligned to the right. Given your example document, the following addition almost works but inserts an ugly line break before the first \subsubsection:
    \titlespacing{\subsubsection}
    {0em}
    {0.25em}
    {\hfill}
