Todays music is probably missing everything what the bands had. Infact there is no comparison of music of 80s and 90s as of today which lacks those emotions, feelings, that romance and the gravity. I wish 80s to come back again As Every end has a begining Long live the 80s Miss those times hell
Bands today could learn allot from these guys, could'nt they? '80's rock was the best and everybody knows it to be true, you could throw much of the '70's in there too.
I love this song, the stage, the set, lighting, they couldn't have made this video any better. One of my all time favorite Rock vids!!! Just one hell of a cool Rock Song!!!
i didn't know this band before (2004) i told the same 'what a shame ' and i saw them two years ago ! it was like on their cds,the voice was perfect and musicians too... so great and i met them after the show, nice guys...really, a very good recall ;-)
I still think it is the songwriting that makes the difference! Everyone could immediately name several bands from the 80´s that had fantastic songs you could maybe sing along with, you could even be one with. But these days?? Just pain and sorrow. I don´t want that in my music - I have already got that in my life.
I have all of House of Lords CD including the early Gufferia Cds... only think I am missing is Eyes album from Jame Christian. Well put together band with right harmonics and sound. Awesome synthesize with clean and accurate note play. There were so many bands like this in the 80's but I have to House of Lord has their own unique sound style and voice when ever you hear the voice of James, you know it's House OF Lords!
Awesome Melodic Rock! Great Guitar Work!...This Kinda Rocks with Music are the Best from 80s and 90s! as i think...This Rock-Melody Blend is no more! replacing Today's Creepy rocks and shitty music!...the Melody is gone and lost Today after 90s!...What do You think? Do You feel the same like Me?.....
Saw these guys during the Sahara tour ... opened for Nelson (!!!), who sounded like the Chipmunks. Not really a hair metal fan (more Crimson prog rock) .. but they were fantastic. James Christian is a great singer and lyricist. Like some others, I recall thinking Ken Mary was a great drummer.
Thank you cobretti1980 for posting this.I loved this band in the late 80's-early 90's. I only have one old tape from them and I used to listen to it constantly.Keep posting this shit.
I agree that"good to be bad",Whitesnake`s latest album was not as expected.House of Lords is a band who still take care of the 80s beautiful rock ballad tradition like no one else!Their last album "Come to my kingdom",gives the listeners a lot of melodic and sensible ballads,as well as more heavier and speedy stuff.I admire bands who can keep on performing music for decades, like R.J.Dio with Heaven and Hell,Rush,Judas Priest,Scorpions or Def Leppard.
Yep, these guys still make good music. If you don't have it, you should get "World Upside Down." It's a great album that was released in 2006, and they have a new one (Come to My Kingdom) scheduled for release in March on Frontier Records.
Acoording to all of you...is glam/aor or rock/melodic metal from the 80s back? (of course, not with the same attitude but still powerfull) When hearing songs like this one I remind the old times...
This album (Demon's Down) was awesome and this song its best. Sadly, DD got released in late '92, just as Nirvana and Grunge were taking over and this gem was lost in the shuffle. Years later though, a Canadian pop singer released 'What's Forever For' and won a Canadian award for best song. Belated justice!
They do! Check out their new album! This was their best album but unfortunately it was released just as Nirvana was killing Heavy Metal on MTV back in the fall of '92... My god, how time flies!
This music is BEAUTIFUL!!! I miss those rock ballads when I hear music of the present. Actually I love Whitesnake... and their performance live, even nowadays. But I must agree that their new album isn't very good :( it hasn't any powerful track...
They still rock hard today, it's a shame Gregg's too busy making crap loads of money with his gaming computers he did the soft wear to in Vegas, he's a CEO now! Tommy went straight to these guys after Whitesnake when Coverdale had a meltdown backstage, too much Steve Via. I wonder what both Coverdale & Ken mary thought? I love Tommy but Ken was the best!
House of lords should've been as big or bigger then Survivor or Mr Big! and I love Survivor! but like Toto their record company gave them no support, just like Survivor's Too hot to sleep album! But H.O.L had 'that' thing like Led Zep.
Bands like House of Lords (and Steelheart for another example) just got started too late. The musicianship and vocals blow away most of the big 80s bands like Poison. Not that I don't also enjoy a good Poison song also. But over all there really is no comparison. Too bad they didn't get started earlier. I think they would have been huge.
Might be closer to melodic/hard rock?.... maybe. But my friend, don't identify AOR with POP music, unless you consider POP great bands such as Boston, Foreigner, Asia, Bad English, Survivor etc..?!@#?
house of lords isn´t an AOR band!!! they´re pure hard rock in the whitesnake vain! AOR has more to do with POP.. it´s stupid to call them aor just because of a power ballad.
Great great song-where are the 80's.These days we had no one year band but pure AOR rock and it is till alive today.
Todays music is probably missing everything what the bands had. Infact there is no comparison of music of 80s and 90s as of today which lacks those emotions, feelings, that romance and the gravity. I wish 80s to come back again As Every end has a begining Long live the 80s Miss those times hell
love this band..one of my all time faves. Having Paul Stanley sing back up doesn't hurt either.
Totally awesome music house of lords Rocks

House of Lords chose their name wisely, they are truly lords of their craft. I loved this band.
80's the best music ever
i didn't know this band before (2004) i told the same 'what a shame ' and i saw them two years ago ! it was like on their cds,the voice was perfect and musicians too... so great and i met them after the show, nice guys...really, a very good recall ;-)

SUPER BANDA
They do! Check out their new album!
This was their best album but unfortunately it was released just as Nirvana was killing Heavy Metal on MTV back in the fall of '92... My god, how time flies!
I love this band!!!!!!! they are awesome!!! Are they still on the road?
This song is forever!
I like it, can't wait until the eighties come again.
OOOH F....in nostalgie!
By the way ... Uncredible ballad. I love HOL.
Hola, Excelente tema!!! Una pregunta, alguien tiene la letra de esta canción?aunque sea en inglés? muchas gracias.
GREAT
This music is BEAUTIFUL!!! I miss those rock ballads when I hear music of the present.
Actually I love Whitesnake... and their performance live, even nowadays. But I must agree that their new album isn't very good :( it hasn't any powerful track...
Actually, they got started in the early '80's as Giuffria...They just changed the name/singer in the late 80's
If you want to know what they are up to these days, check out their label's (Frontier Records) website. I'm not a spammer, just a fellow HOL fan.
Tommy Aldridge!
Except this was the 90's
😓😘
this is the english version of les idees noires de Julie Masse

1000000000000 d 1000000000
sound like whitesnake?
thats a good thing dude
no whitesnake sounds like house of lords.
House of lords should've been as big or bigger then Survivor or Mr Big! and I love Survivor! but like Toto their record company gave them no support, just like Survivor's Too hot to sleep album! But H.O.L had 'that' thing like Led Zep.
GRACIAS X TODO
Where I Can Find The Lyric?
Eh the argument below is pointless because this isn't the 80s ballad's finest hour. Just a little to adult contemporaryiesh here...
