Honestly, the stand jump one is the most accurate and it’s confusing why he didn’t do that. Like Jotaro was literally flying for minutes on end with a single stand jump in his fight with Dio.
The flying was because comics dont have time. in the manga they were in the air when they said something. In the anime they didnt have enough time and so they had to stay for longer in the air and it looked like flying. Same goes for the 5 second time stops. To fit dio´s monologue, they had to add more time to it.
I think he just didn't think of it at the time and went for the base instinct of "throw something at it" Because a few seconds isn't much time to think

GER had the arrow on it's forehead, but then it fell down after the fight, implying that he lost GER. He also put the arrow inside Coco Jumbo. And considering that he supposedly was in Florida, he could have just not brought Coco Jumbo with him. That and the time acceleration didn't directly affect him
