Had the pleasure of seeing him perform live years back in Buffalo new York in an intimate night club, less than 10 feet away, front row no less! Such a memorable experience to say the least. A true artist and performer. And by the way...long b4 Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke popularized the male falsetto voice.....Kenny did it in SPADES! And no one does 'When Sunny gets Blue' better than Kenny!

I was still in my teens when I saw this and it changed my whole guitar-playing life. After watching Kenny Rankin perform this song and his own song, Haven't We Met, on this show, I sold all my electric guitars and bought a Classical guitar like the one Kenny is playing here and I never looked back. Today I am a professional guitarist and teacher. Thank You for all your inspiration, Kenny. Rest In Peace.

Great voice and pretty damn good guitarist! He was an inspiration and introduced me to Baden Powell, one of the GREATEST guitarists of all time!! He mixed jazz and everything!! I decided I could never sing like him but if I worked at it, I could play guitar like that. I have been trying for 50 years!!

Kenny had one of the sweetest voices I’ve ever heard. A great folk rock singer heavily influenced by jazz. Moos him dearly.
