Čepinski Martinci stretches 10 km west of Čepin, at the intersection of two county roads, Podgorač-Budimci-Čepin and Bizovac-Brođanci-Čepinski Martinci. Once known only as Martinci, the settlement was named Martinci Čepinski from 1900 to 1991. It derived its name from the Church of St. Martin, which was once located south of the present-day settlement.
This picturesque village comprises several hamlets such as Ađenica, Grabika Brođanačka, Ivanjska Međa, Klenje, and Travnjak. Archaeological finds testify to earlier settlements in this area dating back to the Neolithic and Eneolithic periods, with discoveries found in the former pasture of Lanici, as well as remnants from the Bronze and Medieval Ages.
The Catholic parish and the Chapel of St. Martin are mentioned as far back as the 14th century, while the village was called Markusfalva in the second half of the 15th century. Čepinski Martinci has a rich history marked by Ottoman rule, which has left its mark on the architecture and culture of the area.
