Casper Ruud is a professional tennis player with an amazing singles and doubles career. He was born on December 22, 1998 in bustling Oslo. In his tennis career, he is the first Norwegian to reach the ATP Tour Masters 1000 semifinal events and win an ATP title. Due to his ability, he also is the highest-ranked Norwegian player in the history of the ATP, having been ranked number 14 on June 21, 2021. This ranking made him surpass his equally skillful father, Christian Ruud. In terms of his doubles career, is achieved a career-high ranking of number 133.
The 6-foot Ruud played junior tennis before stepping into the professional realm. As a junior player, he was able to reach the third round of the 2015 French and Us Open boys’ singles and second in 2015 Wimbledon boys’ singles. In doubles, he made it to the semi-final round in the Wimbledon Boys’ Doubles as well as in the French Open Boys’ Doubles in 2015. It was also during this year when he became part of the Norwegian Davis Cup Team and made his professional debut.
