Center Console Restoration: Part 1

- Hans, Katie, and I went out to start working on the boat. We took off the T-Top rather quickly and then went to work on the console. Unhooking the console from the boat was probably the hardest part because of all the connections holding it in place. Once the console was off, we were able to remove the gas tank and see that some, if not all stringers need to be replaced. Cutting the floor out and taking a look at the framework will be the next part.

Great job this project of yours gives me motivation to keep going, Im in the processes of working on a 1988 century 3500 it needs flooring and the engine is being working on!
Right on man! I’m restoring my 1980’s CC Mitchell skiff with a 1991 48spl Johnson on the back, I’ve done all the wiring and about to gel coat the whole hull. It’s honestly a fun project and very expensive! You’re going to have a beautiful boat in the end man.

Nice work man...seem as me when i bought use boat model 1984 19ft with 85hp yamaha..all the hull n transom had to be repair n paint..8 take for 4 month with the help of my friend
Great job! I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a Wellcraft 1990 18 sport. The boat is equipped with an antenna, but it is disconnected. I dont know where to hook it up at. Any answer would be aprreciated

Chris Z. Mine in particular was attached with brackets and screws

Rip one boat. Title should be, couple of kids bite off more than they can chew. They have some fun stripping an old boat, and scrapping it a few months later.
I mean if that's what you want to think buddy then go for it!

I bought it for fishing and I am in the process of restoring it!
