Before people judge this series, let me just inform you that this series is also a straight, Broadway-style musical, and it's freaking hysterical and awesome all at once.
To help clear up stuff, this series (least the first episode) is not like Diabolik Lovers. Yes, it is the same company producing this anime, but in no way to they share too much of a similar connection. Without spoiling too much, I will say the main heroines are no where like another and the males don't seem to have just a desire to get with the female lead. There seems to be an actual developing plot in the first episode which DL lacked. Before judging a book by its cover, I suggest looking into the first episode and possibly if still interested the next two. Like I said, it doesn't seem to be anything like DL and I've watched all of DL Season 1 and the first episode of DL Season 2.

Sure Diabolik Lovers wasn't that good compared to Dance with Devils but in all honesty the first season of Diabolik Lovers was shit I'm not gonna lie although it gets just a little better during the second season people keep saying Diabolik Lovers is terrible although it is very different from the game the game has a lot better storyline then the show and you get to know the characters way better and I hate the show for leaving out all the information like the fact that Kanato was forced to sing until his vocal cords bled and it also kinda removed their soft sides cause each vampire has a soft side yet they aren't really shown in the series it also removed most of Yuma, Ruki, Kou, and Azusa's pasts now I get that Yuma lost his memories due to a fire that broke out thanks to Reiji although it's not stated in the show only hinted at and it has us completely in the dark about Carla and Shin
I need to let everyone know. Diabolik lovers was and will remain a game not an anime. They fucked up Yui character and I know they went the ayato route in the anime
Yui is better than ritsuka and ritsuka doesn't have vampires abusing her every Day, vampires Who don't care if She died, ritsuka fights cause they don't abuse her, or Lock her up, She have that magical necklace ( plot armor) on her, She Got her brother her friend and the devils don't don't want to Hurt her, yui is more kind, more brave and more interesting
+Kayla Jones Compared to Uta Pri and DL im actually liking this show bcuz it doesnt have Uta Pri's cheesiness (which sometimes was funny) and DL's lack of plot and abuse and also how the main protag isnt a complete clueless weak one that doesnt stand up for herself when she needs to, i mean they could improve it along the way but I'm satisfied with this.
all this hate on the diabolik lovers series.. honestly the anime adaptation was crap for diabolik lovers. BUT THE GAMES- oh well I guess they would miss out on the great games tbh. this anime is good. rejet did a good job. I wonder how the game is gonna go.
Looking back at this series, I would probably consider it a guilty pleasure. The music is a stand out in this show. Both the opening and ending are great, and some of the character songs are really good. I'm sure I'll rewatch it someday.

It's cuz it's always a long haired heroine, like no kidding. But I prefer short-haired heroines, Idk but anime looks better that way (maybe because they so they don't have an excuse to censor "stuff" XD) and look cuter too. Plus, long-haired heroines are so last year, hope this helped a little
This opening was foreshadowing- like A TON ! The begging with the devils is the place where Ritska refused to go, they're wearing the same cloths like in the last epsiode. It also forshadows when Ritska goes into Rems arms and they stare at each other then Rem disappear. -_-
when i first watched this i was like 11 or 12 and I wanted to be Ritsuka so bad , I wanted to choose all of them (I loved harems for some reason) and I cried twice (I watched it like three times and and currently 18 rewatching it for the fourth time) and I wrote rems full ahh name all over my bed frame and got in trouble

There are so many comments comparing this so Diabolik Lovers so, while I think Dance with Devils was mostly meh leaning decent, I will explain how it's different. It's different from Diabolik Lovers because the girl is more resistant to the guys, she has (some) intuition to distrust them, and is proactive (sometimes) in the plot. The main two guys are good to her and the other guys are only kind-of rude but eventually they support her too. Also there are other female characters who are good guys involved in the plot, the girl's mom and her friend.
When I figured out the same people that made diabolik lovers into an anime, I was going to skip it but I gave it a chance. I honestly think that this a good anime with musical, reverse harem and supernatural elements mixed together. I was surprised that the heroine stand up for herself considering that in the other series, the heroine didn't defend herself the fact that the vampires were being dick heads to her. Besides of what I was saying, I think you guys should stop comparing this to diabolik lovers. Even though it's from the same creators, doesn't mean you can compare with a sexual abusive diabolik lovers anime with this descent anime. There is obviously a HUGE difference. I really love Diobolik lovers, and even if this is made by the same people, and probably the same tone, why not give it a chance? Most anime romances (in my opinion) have this "anime pick a boyfriend" app feel to it. OHSHC, of course Diobolik lovers, and more. I'll give it a chance ^^
Also, it kind of has that Vampire knight highschool dark theme to it in this video, and the studio that made Jellyfish Princess?! hex yeah! I guess it's just the type of person who would like it. (for instance, Jellyfish Princess is sooool funny and cute, to me anyway)

This was one of the best reverse-haren animes I watched in my teenage years. Maybe, only Kamigami no Asobi was like place 1 :3
And fairly self contained, as I recall, but it's been a while. They deal with the Grimoire, though that rarely means the evil is dealt with overall

This is a reverse harem series. So basically shows like Highschool DxD, To Love Ru, Tenchi Muyo, etc, but with a bunch of guys and one girl instead of a bunch of girls and one guy.
You could've used Ouran Highschool Host Club, Akatsuki no Yona or Uta no Prince same as an example just saying ^_^

I really love Diobolik lovers, and even if this is made by the same people, and probably the same tone, why not give it a chance? Most anime romances (in my opinion) have this "anime pick a boyfriend" app feel to it. OHSHC, of course Diobolik lovers, and more. I'll give it a chance ^^
Also, it kind of has that Vampire knight highschool dark theme to it in this video, and the studio that made Jellyfish Princess?! hex yeah! I guess it's just the type of person who would like it. (for instance, Jellyfish Princess is sooool funny and cute, to me anyway)
