So I see the lyrics as someone talking to themselves in the mirror and wishing they could love themselves. As someone who has struggled with severe self hatred, mirrors used to be so hard to look in. These words ring so true to me from my past. Thankfully I have found a way to love myself and can now give that love to others much more freely and without pain or sacrifice.
