Corolla is basically the best small mainstream hatchback you can buy right now. Great fuel efficiency, it is quite fast for its class, sporty, has all the equipment you need, easy to park, and agile. Not to mention very reliable, rock solid. It is also very affordable. The only real downside is the cargo capacity, but this touring version in the video solves that, at the expense of a slightly wider turning radius and car length and a little more weight. Personally i would still pick the hatchback, but for a family both the estate version and the sedan version are really good.
@@aquilinorodrigo In normal driving situations is the car quiet and not loud. It is only loud, when you hard acceletate. And how long is it? 10 or 20sec!üü
I have a TS 2.0L 2023. On a similar road, I could probably do well under 5 litres (which I do, countryside is 4.2 / 4.6 litres, city, 4L or under), on highway, not so much. The car makes you work for it, but it's feasible. It's not too far away from a Prius.
Hi! Nice video, I enjoyed it. Which one is better this (196HP corolla) or Civic e:hev (184HP)? How about noise? Is this louder than the Civic? Thanks in advance! :)
I sold my Corolla 2.0 hybrid sportswagon for a Kia Ceed 1.5 tgdi. The CVT sound was horrible. If it's fuel economy go for The 1.8 and not The 2.0, it is rather thirsty for a hybrid. If you are doing quite alot of short commutes a plugin is better. The Corolla has a really good suspension, but it feels rather distant to drive compared to the Kia. But all in all really balanced. Safety feature wise, the Kia is a bit more meddlesome but Adaptive cruise control works much better than the Corolla. The Corolla just keeps steering little bits to find a centre point in the lane. The multimedia system in the Kia is lightyears ahead of the Toyota. Though the Toyota can display the Google maps/waze/.. in the digital cockpit which they Kia can't. The seats are also better in the Kia, all man's friend, the Corolla has rather short seats and quite hard. Found them not the best in longer journeys. As a music lover. The standard boxes in the Toyota are the worst I ever had, EVER! Though the JBL in both Toyota and Kia are very good. If you have any questions just shoot.
@@wesleyt2896Toyota can display Waze in the digital cockpit? If you mean the dashboard or even the HUD, I would be more than interested to know how… I had the 196 TS for 6 months never heard of it and figured it out… where did you get this?
The xCeed PHEV is years ahead. If fully equipped, it has too many features like front heated and ventilated seats (rear heated), heated steering, auto hatch, a larger display and everything else this car has to offer, the digital display isn't too configurable tho but you have many features available. With the PHEV you also get great EV only mileage. I've driven 1500 km on a Ceed SW PHEV, which has exactly the same equipment and was very surprised. Yesterday drove a fully equipped xCeed PHEV and it was exactly the same, even liked it more than it's longer sibling
Still thinking about the dilemma if I should choose 2.0 hybrid or 1.8 hybrid ? I like both version of cabin too, sedan or this one doesn't matter much ,. I wonder if sedan would be quieter inside or the same
This is an eco commuter or family car, not a track car anyway, so the eCVT is amazing. Very smooth and efficient transmission, especially for urban and suburban driving.
Too expensive for such a low quality car. I own one with 2.0 engine for two years now and will sell it in the next few days. Soundproofing is fucked up, so noisy you can barely hear radio while driving on highway. Materials look and feels cheap like some chinese plastic. Gearbox is really really loud because of CVT. I really dont recommend this car.
How does it handle? Such a cool car, I would like to have one in the hacthback version in the near future. Keep it up Joe!

Only problem is that the engine and CVT are SO loud.
All good except from the fact that the CVT is such a terrible gearbox regarding the driving experience
But this is a very reliable gearbox

Its not a CVT .. no belt . only planetary gears In a few years there probabbly wont be any Automatic gear transmissions left.
