For a while, the TFT Academy guide said scrap sword was best on Corki in this comp. I'd been running scrap belt specifically because it always rolls GB and you're probably running IE on him anyways. It also helps get rid of belt.
But I thought Dish knows better than me prob and started running scrap sword whenever I could. This is very validating.

Dishsoap, I know this is a little long, but I want to express my IMMENSE gratitude and appreciation to you for bringing the scrap comp to my attention. This video brought me so much joy when I first watched it, and you will understand why after reading about my experiences. I have studied your video thoroughly, created a document detailing all the info you gave me, made my own flow chart for component and unit priority, and really committed to learning it. I am addicted to playing and optimizing the comp, and I’ve never seen so many first place finishes before. This is the most fun I've had playing a video game in a very very long time, and it has reignited my passion for tft.
I've been playing for the past 6 sets, and my brain has locked fully into a certain ritual/routine. for context I'm on the spectrum, and I’ve only played TFT using the following "strategy". I am really good at hyper focusing on my economy and HP management. Every opportunity I get I will make 10 gold on 2-1. I prefer making 20 and open forting on 2-2, and playing for interest every round until I hit 50+. Once I hit 50, I remain there until 4-2.
After I've made 50 gold, I am addicting to solving what I see as a puzzle. I figure out how to squeeze as much HP[ preservation out of a loss as possible by scouting, examining my components, and finding a combination of units and components in my shop/bench that will lose to all enemies, but get as many kills on as many boards as possible. If I win before 4-2 it ruins my experience, so I avoid it at all cost. I take pride in my ability to optimize HP while never rolling, and aggressively pushing levels. I LOVE full loss streaking.
This set, loss streaking is dangerous due to the immense risk you place on yourself this set by starting 4-2 at only 2-3 lives.(chem baron, 6 cost variance, enemies high rolling BIS anomaly, etc) Additionally, In most of my games I would leave my components open until 3-7, since i can minimize HP loss with just open components, and I didn't roll my shop until after the augment selection at 4-2.
This playstyle is one I have stubbornly stuck to, since I get so much excitement and enjoyment out of min maxing my health and econ before 4-1, while slamming as little as possible. I am fully aware that this is not how you are supposed to play, and don’t pretend I am a “good player”. The issue is, once i get to 4-1, the game feels like it's over in 4 out of 5 matches. Complete decision overload. My tendency to make a new board for every round, and never slam components usually means I have little to no direction until level 8, which leads to fast losses.
Having said all that, I have NEVER played a comp more synergistic with my play style than this scrap variant. It inspired my passion to rank up seriously for the first time since I forced Deadeye aphelios+sejuani reroll to masters, which also clicked perfectly for my brain for different but similar reasons.
My refusal to slam and mathematically perfect econ management in every single game regardless of circumstance has transformed from a limitation and liability to a massive strength when I play this comp. TFT as a game has expanded for me in a way I've never experienced. Fully memorizing the list of lucky items you shared was so helpful for me in minimizing losses, and understanding why 6 scrap is such a titanic leap in consistent strength. I love everything about this comp, and I have felt truly dominant playing it. I can autopilot from 2-1 through 3-7, and plan out my exact board and components based off my flow chart. By 4-1, I know what I need exactly, so it lets me reroll and position easily at 4-1 then begin a comfortable win streak with plenty of time to spare. In every game I've attempted i placed at least top 4, and in every game I've played where I was fully present and focused, I have gotten a top 2+. Stage 2 used to be, in my mind, the stressful end to a fun econ management game. Now, stage 4+ feels so rewarding and easy to play.
If you'd like to share, I would love to absorb more knowledge from you, since I know you've been playing the comp for a while now. What interactions have stood out? What radiant items are BIS? What concepts have you theorized on, but not gotten a chance to test? What do you have to share for a motivated player who is going to fully invest their energy into studying, learning, and one tricking this comp? I would benefit most from information about anomalies, as it's ntimidating from a research and testing perspective to even begin to learn how each anomaly performs with each carry. Please share what you've cooked, even if it is experimental or uncertain. I am going to hard force this comp every single game, no matter what, and learn every angle there is to it.

Top of the Heap is completely insane if you have a 4 scrap opener, but only if you can do that. But if you do that then the augment is absolutely bonkers.

just played this comp in double up because of the video, idk if the items are different because double up, but my GP def rolled steraks, warmogs, and morello with my belt scrap
you need atleast 6 scrap for it to always be guardbreaker

What do you think about ziggs applying red buff? Why bruiser over sentinel? Why vi for pit fighter, is vi OP? Why not scrap item for cloak for Ekko and rumble? BT ionic seems good.
Vi is a very solid unit. Elise is a much more useful unit than illaoi
elise is a bruiser and form swapper which buffs your gangplank, going illaoi will only give you sentinel and nothing much

Triple steraks is BIS urgot. Also urgot really wants JUST BT, Steraks, TR. so it’s pretty decent pick for urgot comps

How are people making this work? I can't seem to do any damage with this build. I'm losing bottom 4 with corki 2 and everyone wiht perfect items. My units just can't seem to do any damge to the frontline.
why do you need to put corki on frontline?

Because the scap lucky items only works when you have 6 scrap.
I find it crazy how top tier challenger players are great players, I myself a GM, most of the times I play this comp, on 4-1 or 4-2 when I roll for this, I can never two star anything, no ekko, no corki, no elise, no vi, actually most of the times I cant even find one ekko or one corki, these units are way too constested, I can't comprehend how these high elo mfs can be constant most of the times.
Because they only post top 1 games
25-30 gold is one copy of a 4-cost, so unless u highroll or roll 100 golf u arent expected to find upgraded 4costs

You want components to scrap and have more items from augments .. the scrap items doesn't count and you lose a ton of value on item collector .. so you d rather choose something else because of the anti synergy.. hope you can understand what i am saying.. short answer is no

@@hopeskyworth item collector augment is the augment taht gives u stats for each unique item u have not the collector artifact.

forced scrap and my items somehow just were entirely useless and bad, and the champs offered was worse, managed to have the perfect augments but everything else just went so badly
tried it, hp on gp kept giving warmogs.. had redbuff GS, had a rumble early with tear, corki with tear db lw, trundle bf spark, ekko no items, won 1/x rounds xd

Read the 6 scrap augment not 2 or 4 scrap. The chart he shows is for scrap lucky items which only works if you have 6 scrap.

Your early game boards are probably better and you're lower HP when you hit yout board and then probably get scammed a few times for bad positioning. It's normal for lower elos, try to always be above 40 on your lvl 8 rolldowns.
Positioning matters, but I have the same issue. I hit good items Scrap 3 times yesterday with 30-40 HP remaining and bled out to 5th all 3 games to highroll Enforcers, Chembarons and Sorcs. I do think Scrap is good, but it doesn't winout in highroll lobbies unless you make it to good items Rumble 2 with good upgrades.

To be honest, I've been using this comp and went from unranked to Master (my first time ranking) since the set started. Now that a bunch of TH-camrs and streamers are promoting this comp, it’s been unbearable to make it truly viable again. It was a lot better when it was a 'hidden' gem.
bad results, pretty contested, always lose to some other BS hyperroll just as you said since you have to bleed so much in the beginning

Wait, since when is belt a bad component? Isn't both warmogs and Sunfire like the 2 best tank items and there are like not really any unbuildables from it? Am I behind the meta or just a moron and you only mean that full items made from belt are bad for scrap specifically.
Powder has build in anti heal .. rumble also has build in anti heal.. warmogs is bad because you want resistances for your shields not hp
Both sunfire amd warmogs are great early game tempo items and this is a comp you want to losestreak and greed for bis .. thats my understanding at least but i m also trash :(
u dont want defensive items on scrap, since you already have the shields
I think you get so much shield from scrap anyway, so armor/mr is more important than health
Belt on corki and gp is a guaranteed guardbreaker so it's good.
