Mega Man 6, known in Japan as Rockman 6 Shijō Saidai no Tatakai!! (ロックマン6 史上最大の戦い!! Rokkuman Shikkusu Shijō Saidai no Tatakai!!?, lit. "Rockman 6: The Greatest Battle Ever!!"), is a video game developed by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is the sixth installment in the original Mega Man series and was originally released in Japan on November 5, 1993 and in North America the following March. It was included in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection released in 2004. Its first PAL region release was June 11, 2013 for the 3DS Virtual Console, nearly twenty years after the game's first release.
The story of Mega Man 6 opens during a competitive robot fighting tournament with entrants from all around the globe. A villainous figure known as "Mr. X" announces he has reprogrammed the eight powerful contestants with intent to use them for taking over the world. The game's robotic protagonist Mega Man, who was sent to oversee the tournament, springs into action to foil X's plot. A standard action-platformer, Mega Man 6 plays nearly identically to its five predecessors with a few added features such as stages with alternate pathways and new Rush adaptors.
Mega Man 6 is the first game in the series to receive character design input from fans outside Japan. This late-era game was also the last in the series released on Nintendo's 8-bit console. Due to the declining support of the NES and the growing presence of the newer and more powerful Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Capcom decided not to publish Mega Man 6 in North America. The North American version of Mega Man 6 was released by Nintendo of America instead. Critical reviews favored the game's comparable presentation and use of the established gameplay model from preceding chapters in the series, though nearly all judged it a redundant sequel.
While the first five Mega Man games are available on the Wii's Virtual Console, this game is absent from the Wii Shop Channel; however the game was released via the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan and Europe, with North America on June 20, 2013. It was also released via the Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on May 14, 2014, in Europe on July 24, 2014[5] and in North America on August 21, 2014.[6]

I feel Mega Man 6 is criminally overlooked in this franchise. I adore this game and it's incredible soundtrack (which remains my favorite in the series). This is amazing!
It is without a doubt the best looking megaman game on the nes
@@Gatitasecsii Undeniably. It even looks better than 9 & 10, despite the more advanced hardware and lack of sprite flicker. The backgrounds are so lush and alive, whereas in 9 & 10, a lot of backgrounds are just black and empty.
Same
Very much over looked.
I will never forget the absolute shock that I experienced when I learned that Mr. X was really Dr. Wily all along. Capcom really knows how to write an unexpected twist.
I know thats a joke. But my reaction to the opening was "Oh cool....who is Dr Wily?". It was my first game after all.
@@Tesla2586 Ah, nevermind that. I started on Megaman 4, originally. "Who the heck is Dr. Cossack?" 😁
MM6's music has always been my favorite in the series.

Thanks?
Mega Man 6 has the dopest soundtrack of all the 8 bit games... my opinion.
I hit a gold mine with this channel!
Damn you made Wind Man sound like an 80s power ballad. Gorgeous.
53:27 You've gotta love those moments when colliding with an enemy actually SAVES your ass from insta-death by spikes. Those invincibility frames could NOT have come at a better time! Sometimes our adversaries become our unwitting saviors!
Don't forget about the pause/unpause glitch. (we all miss it....)
@@octotheinky1460 oh yeah I used to use that on MM1. Hitting the select button over and over. I wish they still made games like this!
@@ajhproductions2347 They still do, cuphead for example, but general public think these kind of games are hard AF.
@@Masterstroke-bk1zz They aren't wrong. I played these games many times on an NES Emulator, and the games looked amazing for their designs. However, I couldn't get over the fact that its simplicity was what was so hard about the game, hence why the general observation of people today find these games hard. The furthest I ever got on any of the NES Megaman games was the first stage of Wily's Fortress in MM2.
Man, I have to tell you: this is FUC**NG AWESOME. As a guitarrist (and as a gamer), I'm extremely happy with this video. You really did it well. Congrats from Brazil!
Hei howie
*congrats from plant man's stage*
Flame Man theme is one of my fav in entire series and now, even more. You're blessed!
Seriously I searched it for that very reason, and realized I had already liked the video a while back. Memory failing me in my old age lmao.
You don't see many covers out there for MM6 which makes me sad given it's my favorite (if you couldn't tell by the avatar). Very glad you did this, fantastic work, I absolutely love it!
Mm6 was not the best "successful" game in my opinion, but soundtrack wise this is on par with MM2, MM4 and even MM3 (the best in my opinion from the classic series).
This is certainly a lot better than MM7, MM8, and the two additional retro games music wise. IMO MM5, except for 3 themes or so, is the worst by far.
Flame man and tomahawk man are some of my favorites. I did a cover of tomahawk man too. Not as good as this one though.
Yeah, this game, with 5 not far behind, has the best soundtrack of the classic series. Everyone likes to talk about 2, but for me it's one of the less good ones, specially when you got amazing variety in the games from 7 onward.
Mm2 was my first mom game but 6 is my favorite classic. Gameplay was amazing, bosses were cool af and music was on point.
i agree. My top 2 is MM2 and MM6 OST.
@@castorviolet amen to that. MM4 imo was the worst
I wonder who Mr. X really is
Mega Man's father
Final boss: OLD MAN
JOHN CENA
ok that meme is old
speed racer's older brother
All I know is that his plans for world domination have faild!
Tracklist in description dood
Why didn't you go for Protoman
You need the power adapter from flame man
@@scottzumsteg4314 wow
Blizzard Man and Yamato Man are my faves
You rocked this from start to finish!
Flame Man's theme is fucking amazing i wish it had its own video
59:30 is what you came here to see, and HEAR.... Dope as fuck guitar cover of the best song in the game!
I came here for the dual melody part at 29:54
@@cycopl x2 !
Krzysztof Słowikowski - You Sir.. are a Hero!
The final boss fight against both of the Dr. Wiley forms is the best track in the game, and this cover absolutely did not disappoint!
Your Knight Man and Tomahawk Man remix are amazing! Good job!
Not enough covers of this excellent sound track! Sounds amazing!
Awesome! I like the Dr. Willy stage music, so nice!
One of my favourite OST of the series. Awesome work!
Mega man 6 is underrated
1:02:12 Love hearing the best bit of each theme at the end. Also, it definitely did not feel I watched am hour long video. It felt like 15 min. Dang... This whole thing was amazing~!
You know it took me twenty years to figure out that the Giant X on the Triangle on Mr.X's fortress.... was actually done as an ingenious marketing ploy by capcom to put Megaman X into the minds of kids, seeing as how Megaman x came out less then a year AFTER MM6..
Actually, Mega Man 6 came out 2 months after Mega Man X did in North America. Kinda crazy to think about it.
I've been waiting for the complete one to come out! Awesome work, man! Thanks for serving us such good music all the time! :D
Seriously this dude shreds
I really love these. Very unique, very well done. I like to work on art and jam all your classic Megaman vids. Especially 1 & 2. Thanks for the hard work you put into these
Really a pleasure a listen to. Awesome job man.
Great job. So glad you're hitting every Mega Man game.
When the title theme starts playing, you already know that shit is getting real
This brought a genuine smile to my face. This is so freakin' cool, man! Thanks for sharin'!
18:03 The epicness! Way too epic for the stage
My favorite character select theme.
42:02 - 42:15 ... Dude... respect!
I wish I could've seen the thought bubble.
"Crap... the next hit will kill me..." (Looks at the 'E's)
"... nah. Not wasting one. I got this."
Really nice! Really liked what you did with the Wind Man music! It's probably my favorite piece in the game.
Man... Wind Man theme always reminds me Joe Satriani style and u have confirmed this decades later... Tks for your awesome job.
This gave me chills it’s soooo good!
Loving this!!!
How is it possible that I just now found this........ All of these are amazing. This has always been my favorite Mega Man.
59:36 An EPIC SONG... for a mega easy boss... ¡BUT ANYWAY IS A BANGER! 🎶🎸🎸🎸🎸
This Whole Thing Was Awesome!!
IMO, The Stage Themes Of Both Tomahawk Man & Mr. X REALLY Stood Out The Most!!!
Dude, these are tears of joy
Thank you very much for the time which was taken for you to make these nostalgic and awesome covers!

Se oye bien 'Widek'
Orgullo polaco 🇵🇱
17:10 Darkmoor man
Boss themes: That F* ing BASS!! 😍😍😍
Plant Man's face when he thinks his Plant Barrier will indefinitely finish Mega Man for good? :p
Congratulations! Very good lml
your version of Wind Man sounds like something from Sonic Adventure 2
Just beat whole library on NES legit, no SS bs. Freakin' awesome ride, and yes, I also feel MM6 music gets overlooked, it rivals right there with 2
MR. X's castle is pimped out! lol
Flameman is a master piece
aesome!! no words!!! just THANKS DUDE!!!
wanted to hear an awesome tomahawk man metal version for a very very long time, thank you!

Oh my goodness! I have never heard that Mr X Fortress theme till this year! I NEED this in my life!!
Ok this brilliantly made 😲 let’s rock 🤘
Awesome!!
Yes a very great job, with this special epic touch on certain songs like Knightman Or Centaurman. This ost have a lot of charm and style like the 7.
Rock n Rockman 6 !! good work !!
It bothers me to no end that you didn't start with Flame Man. You need the Power so many times! lol. But awesome freaking guitar work. I'm so glad this game is still getting love. This was always my favorite MegaMan.
me starts with Wind Man :3
Gotta make this story of Megaman into a movie NOW!
Eagerly awaiting the Mega Man 10 guitar playthrough! That game has some great tracks. Highlights include Chill Man's stage, and "Wily Stage Boss Battle". Can't wait to hear your badass guitar covers of these.

Pretty sure Blizzard Man comes from Canada judging by the curling stones. And officially, Flame Man comes from the Middle East, but the turban would indicate he’s Sikh, which is India..
Flame Man can also be from Saudi Arabia, and Knight Man has an big chance of representing England, but he can also represent Germany.
Flameman is probably from Turkey
El papasito Correa :v Tomahawk es de Estados Unidos ya que de ahí son los aborígenes Tomahawk
Met you need to make some more GPs you have so much talent
omg its soooo nice :D
One of the first games (along with Kirbs, Ikari warriors, super c, Zelda II) that I had the honor of owning. Can't really begin to describe to degree or depth of nostalgia associated with this game, but I will say that you rocked my head off (and thoroughly aided me in schooling some of my other musical friends in the art of VG music appreciation). Excelente on Blizzard, Tomahawk, Knight and Flame. Totally decimated my musical tongue with the sheer beauty of Mr. X's 1st tune. Bravissimo!!
Oh dude I'm stealing that password.
Lmao kidding, what would be the point? I always loved playing from the start every single time. I remember as a kid playing the megaman games and wanting to hear metal versions of the tunes so bad. Thanks for hooking us all up with such nostalgic greatness!
0:43 Oh music on a prompt gives is direct the brazillian tune! And by the way,I have such feeling where that I already heard her!
46:11 top ten surprising plot twists
Great! Which equipment did you use for recording besides guitar?
Check the channel description
genius!!
Muito Show!!!
Lancem quantos jogos puderem, para quantos consoles e computadores existirem no futuro, e gerações se sucederão até que a trilha sonora desse jogo seja superada com nível de qualidade semelhante em um só jogo !
Should be audio option for The Sequel Wars.
awesome XD
Better than the actual Mega Man VI IMO
9:38 I like it. 😊
Loving the Mr. X theme appreciation in the comments, it's honestly the best melodic theme, really has that "this is it" feel to it
Rock on!!
He picked Flame Man last because he was saving the best for last
great job, as ever. Please, the same for the 7 :P
This is the first time Knight Man theme sounds interesting to me. In the 8 bit version never liked it too much but now it sounded pretty well! Good job!
How did he manage to survive the first Robotmaster :D
Would you be able to provide me with the guitar + bass backing track of Windman stage? A friend of mine would love to record the drums for it.
Unfortunately, it was recorded a few years ago, and I don't have any working files anymore.
The 8 most powerful robots in the world? A robot that ski that was defeated by a Megaman on the verge of death? You gotta be joking! Also, what kind of tournament was it?
Muito foda! 🤘
best boss fight battle @ 59:34
I hope you do 11. If you have I’ve missed it. I love all of these.
Oh and mega man 1 for Gameboy
hey man, why did you use a Megaman 4 OST in this part here 52:52 ??
Finally someone noticed
Krzysztof Słowikowski hahahaa I ways noticed, but I got curious about it haha!
