    These are great boots for me as a wider foot rider. Don't cinch down the BOAs to tight and these are a GREAT buy. I ride these with a Jones Frontier and edge to edge is awesome! Also thanks for the content James!

      Thanks for your take and agreed on not cinching the BOA down too tight. Bad for the boot and your foot.

    Love my deadbolts. Same stiffness like lasso pro according to ride but Yes, they get softer quick but no problem driving demanding boards. I. Ride 27-28 waist no problems. 👍

      Thanks for your take and glad they work for you. How is the flex holding up? They feel responsive out of the box but worried that after 50 days they will become a lot less stiff/responsive.

      @@thegoodridesnow on my second pair and Yes, they probably got 50 days and then you feel them softening up. Still great and the shell hold up. Goes from maybee a "8 to 6" in stiffness. But my feet are Brooken and they got such a nice feeling to them and i got alot of room in the toebox and still the heel hold works great. 👍

    An update, got the Lasso Pros. They are definitely responsive but you have to really crank on the boa to get there. I might actually go back to laces next year, less f’ing around and you can really tighten them up.

      Thanks for your take and follow up. Yeah you might be like me and like the Fuse better or something else with upper and lower BOA adjustability instead of one on the outside and one on the inside around the ankle.

    Been waiting for this one. Definitely leaning lasso pro. Would you say the lasso pro is more responsive? It will be driving a bsod

      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I felt the Lasso Pro and Fuse to be more responsive and they will keep their flex/response longer.

    Hey James! Love the video and I’m looking for a boot that’s a 10.5, I’ve tried a few and I have heel lift in all them except the Vans Aura Pro but they don’t have the color way I want, do you think the Ride Lasso would be a good alternative for heel lift?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yes. The Lasso Pro works very well with narrower heels and it's good with anything width E or below. With Size E you have to heat mold but it works. One thing. Don't over crank to keep your heel from lifting. Instead add boot fitting foam to tighten it up around the ankle.

    A warning from my experience, especially after owning a pair of Lasso Pro last season: avoid textil BOA cables. No matter what they say on their main channel, if you like them tight and you ride everyday and your riding is intense, textil cables will rip off. Also, they need to improve the hooks, because they also get rip apart from the boot, and this can happen with steel cables also, but at least the steel cables won't rip off.
    I say this because my Lasso Pro got destroyed after 90 days. They didn't last a single season, and the main problem was the textil cables. I know BOA is a different brand, but just saying... Better choose steel cables if you like BOA, like me.
    Oh and the flex, yeah, it got broken really fast.
    And despite the articulated ankle, it appeared a very annoying and ugly wrinkle, very bumpy and noticeable. Overall, I got deeply disappointed with Ride, and I didn't expect it after 2 and a half seasons with the Insano, the best boots I've ever had.
    Again, this is my experience. No hate or anything

      Thanks for your take and totally get it. I don't ride tight and try to get most riders I interact with to not overtighten BOA boots or your binding ankle straps. It often leads to long term damage to your feet, lots of pain and you have to get new boots/bindings a lot faster. That being said, I know people do it anyways and it does feel more responsive. I've learned to live without cranking it down and I'm soo much happier as a result.

    Do you know if the insano have the bigger toebox like the deadbolt when both of them is zonal?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Deadbolt feels wider inside from toe box to the middle of the foot.

    Im a size 10 in boots and have a E wide foot as well. Would you say the deadbolts are wide enough to stay true to size or recommend going a half a size up?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      True to size for sure. Ride is great for heat molding too so if they feel tight you can easily widen out the sides. I didn't need to with the Deadbolt though with my 9E's but I did with my Fuse's.

    I have a question. i am a size 13US or its a close fit. my left is more like a 13,5 31,2-3CM what Boot, i don't have any preference on brand. Has the smallest outside foot print ? In the past i got in to a 12.5 and thru som agony and use. i was able to fit in it. Can i maybe get a heat moldable 12 and make that fit ? i am only 6,2 188CM Not that tall And around 225 pounds. The Reason is want to try some smaller boards. i have ridden som a bit to long to accommodate my feet size 😐😐

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are lucky boards are getting wider. Look at Burton 13's. They have a very reduced footprint throughout the sizing range.

    How would you compare the fuse vs the vans infuse? Thanks!

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Two great boots and very similar. Both are well built and long lasting boots. Fuse has more shock absorption over the front of the foot. Infuse on the heel. Infuse has the power strap and a little wider fit out of the box. Fuse heat molds super well as well and keeps its flex longer though.

    what is your opinion about flex on the boots? I have flex 8 board, 8 bindings and i had 6 on boots but some people told me to better buy flex 8 boots.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No buy based on response and not flex. They are 2 different things.

    • @panpr2627
      @panpr2627 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thegoodridesnowso do you believe that flex doesn’t matter? I saw many guys use 5-6 flex boots with stiff setup and that’s why I considering the upgrade. The boots are DC Phantom, 8 stiff. Thank you in advance 💪

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      No but flex and response don't often go hand in hand. Go with something that supports you, retains its flex for a long time and has good response. I've gotten more out of a flex rated 6 response wise vs. a flex rated 8. For example this flex is wearing down and the response is waning. Many DC's I tried have an easy forward flex but felt stiffer on the sides. If I were you take a look at the Fuse, Lasso Pro, 92 and even the Torrents. They have good response but keep their flex a long time.
